Sure. These are the lines I added/edited from the MultiBeast 4.5.1 Core i5/i7 Overclocking file. Notice the change in the Name (APSS, Package (0x1E), 0x1E = 30 total P-states in APSS (as opposed to the original 27); This added 3 P-states (3 additional 'Package (0x06)') up to 4.5Mhz. First time...
I followed OP, added three more P-States to the SSDT.aml from the Customization > Boot Options > SSDT >Core i5/i7 Overclocked selection in MultiBeast 4.5.1 and everything is OK! I'm OC at 4.5Mhz running 10.7.4.
This is awesome. Thank you.

Yes. The FireWire does work on this MB. It is a VIA FireWire 400 speed controller. I only use the FireWire for external backup. My system recognizes it when plugged in while booting and no problems plugging it in when system is on. I've heard rumors that you can put a Texas Instruments FireWire...
I replaced the front fan with a white LED version about a week after I put the system together. The stock fan and the replacement fan do not 'whistle' at all. Just regular old fan noise in both cases.
No, I'm not using the low profile. The case is awesome, see my build description comments from link in signature.
I don't know the difference between the drivers, but I do know that the Realtek driver worked well enough for my install and initial testing. I see Lnx2Mac updated the install to...
I have this mobo and recently did my first build. This mobo may be overkill for some, but I got a great deal on it with a processor purchase which made it about the same price as the lowest priced models on your really nice list. I also was of the mindset that I always want more options for...
Re: GA-Z68XP-UD4 | i7 2600K | GA-GTX-560-Ti | Lion 10.7.2
Glad to hear. You mentioned your Firewire controller was a VIA. Mine is too. I discovered I am having an issue with mine as well. I can plug it in after full boot and it shows up fine on the desktop. I cannot boot up with it...
Re: GA-Z68XP-UD4 | i7 2600K | GA-GTX-560-Ti | Lion 10.7.2
Hi HoneyBadger
Thanks for the kind words. Attached are the BIOS screenshot settings I changed to compare to yours. I have since changed them, however. (running 4.5 GHz now) Please be careful, and test, test, test. Did you post your...
Re: Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion
This looks like a fun build, can't wait to find out how the HD 3000 and the OC goes. The CPU Cooler you got looks like it gets really good reviews. Be interested in hearing about temps there as well!
Re: GA-Z68XP-UD4 | i7 2600K | GA-GTX-560-Ti | Lion 10.7.2
It looks like there is a DSDT file available for a lot of UD3 boards on the the DSDT Database page. So no problems there, I think you would be fine as far as installation goes. As far as the technical features of the board, whats...
Re: GA-Z68XP-UD4 | i7 2600K | GA-GTX-560-Ti | Lion 10.7.2
No DVI inputs on the Apple monitor, the new 30" or my old Cinema Display, I believe. The one I have is actually ADC. I have an ADC to DVI adapter I bought from Apple a while back.
Re: GA-Z68XP-UD4 | i7 2600K | GA-GTX-560-Ti | Lion 10.7.2
This card has two DVI and one HDMI. Looks like the u3011 has both types. The Apple 30" I think runs off Thunderbolt connection and doesn't have HDMI or DVI out of the box. There might be a way around that, but I haven't checked...
This is a sweet fix, can't wait to try it.
Question first:
So do you need 'Generate C/P States' for a Z68 board or not? What is speed stepping? (Aside from a BIOS setting, right?)
And, do you need all three buttons selected? Can it be a combination of the three?
Re: GA-Z68XP-UD4 | i7 2600K | GA-GTX-560-Ti | Lion 10.7.2
Stork, jpa
Thanks! I will...I will...I will!
I don't know if it's a beast  but my G5 has now turned into a very large paper weight :P
I maybe will start a thread in the OC, with settings, pics, etc. when I get a chance...
