Yes, as noted, I was able to boot successfully(with visual) once I switched from HMDI to Display Port. Did you have any luck with the USB-C port on the motherboard? It doesn't appear to work.
Good Morning. I installed the Gigabyte 5600XT and added apdpmod=pikera to the boot-arg. Then I get a blank screen after the apple logo. Is there any change I need to make to the config.plist?
Good Day everyone. Here is the breakdown. Beforehand, I was running Catalina using Clover on a regular SSD for the same system; no issues. Then after over a year of using the system, I decided to update and did the following:
- Formatted USB Installer, downloaded Monterey on apple device...
Thanks. I tried your EFI (once I generated my own Serial) and getting to the installer OSX screen; however, it's in a different language and when I click install, it gives some time of error message.
Upon using your EFI, it's in a different language. How do I change to English? In the installer, I selected the 3 option from the left, top option; however, doesn't work.
I think we all would agree that Clover is not compatible with 10th generation processors (z490 motherboards). Maybe in 6-12 months, but not now. OC is the only option. Unfortunately for me, I can't even boot using OC yet.
Hello again. To explain further, I followed the OpenCore instructions (downloaded ~480MB), then simply replaced the EFI from this initial thread and booted up. The end result is the screenshot noted above. I'm stuck.
Hello everyone. I am stuck with installing Catalina similar to zdamatii (as noted June 16th). Any help will be appreciated. I followed the opencore instructions. I'm using 5600xt with HMDI.
in the future, would it be possible to solely use clover for LGA 1200 motherboards, rather then OpenCore? Also, is there a guide for new users to use OpenCore?
To help others; I fixed the shutdown and sleep issue by following the instructions posted here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-gigabyte-z390-gaming-m-intel-core-i7-9700k-radeon-rx580-shutdown-fix.281541/
Based on the screenshot, it appears that I got the RX580 to work! Now, I'm going to do research on fixing shutdown, sleep, and enable Wi-Fi with airdrop.
