So I just completed a new build for my work place. It is based on the Gigabyte B365M DS3H motherboard with an Intel i5 9400. I am using OpenCore 0.5.9 to boot it. I have 2 monitors connected to the board, 1 to the HDMI port and the second to the DVI port. I included the patch I applied to make...
Hey sponkey21, I have the BRCM card on my S340 and a ryzentosh. For both installs, the only thing I needed to do in windows was to install the bootcamp drivers. Wifi and Bluetooth works in both OS. So I am suspecting that your issue may be hardware related, whether it is the card or the adapter...
Yes, I updated to 10.15.4 via direct software update after updating Clover and kexts. 3 reboots and everything worked except for the Tpad issue that I encountered.
@Dr.Aequitas - In regards to VirtualSMC, did you update the corresponding Battery and Processor Kexts? Below is the status of my kexts. Other than VoodooPS2, I have the latest versions and did not notice any issues. I am also on Clover 5107 and updated to Catalina 10.15.4.
Given there was a good discount on the HomePod, I bought one. However I was unable to directly Airplay my music to the HomePod from the IdeaPad. I don't know what checks Apple does to prevent this but the easy work around was to use an app call Airfoil. If anyone knows of a cleaner fix without...
4+8 should work. I had 4+16 in it and did not notice much of a difference, again I am not a power user. I put it back to 4+4 after I bought the super cheap Motile laptop from Walmart since that only came with 4gb.
It is best to install Windows and OS X on separate drives. Windows also misbehaves if you install it using the Windows installer, one major annoyance is that the sound doesn't work.
What I found was there is a free utility, WintoHDD, that works extremely well in creating the Windows install...
I never did a drain test but on the occasions that I have it unplugged, I still have about 70% left after about 3 hrs usage on OS X or Windows. I don't do anything that taxes the cpu, just general light stuff like surfing and typing docs.
Check with Alexnov, he has the 14inch model. He asked about the wifi card on page 22 of this thread. Not sure if he bought one. From the pictures shared, it looks like a tight fit.
That is correct, use the M2 A/E adapter for the BCM94360CS2 to replace the original Intel M2 wifi card. There is a second M2 NVME slot where the oem SSD resides. At least for the 15inch model, there is an empty SATA slot where you can install an additional 2.5inch drive.
Try the last EFI shared in this thread. Took a while but some smart person fixed the trackpad for us.

Thanks! Verified that TPAD working now. We just need to work together to fix the backlight and HDMI.
Update: So I did the same thing as before, use 4mit's EFI, add the patches from Patrick545. Brightness works and TPAD works! HDMI Also works!
