Believe it or not it was the 40" 4K tv that i use as a monitor.
I have 3 of these 40" 4K tvs that i use for monitors and the one i was using
for the hackintosh has a problem talking to the RX580.
It works fine for streaming and everything else television related.
RX580 in...
I have been getting along with my hackintosh for over 4 years and its been running except for the shutdown problem.
I recently moved from 1100 miles away and the hackintosh rode in the front passenger seat the entire trip.
It was not subjected to any stresses or bumps / bangs.
When i finally...
I did. they were posted here since 11-19-19 and I bumped the thread to no avail so I just deleted them from the post.
I figure if no one has responded in 3 months, its not happening
Guess im on my own
Update : I called AMD to see if I could get the VRM thermal pad thickness and they had no idea.
I then ordered .5mm, 1.0mm and 1.5mm thermal pads and a new tube of arctic silver 5 from amazon.
I then pulled the card to blow it out and look to see if I could see anything...
Guess im going to take the card out and disassemble it and replace the thermal compound on the GPU die and the thermal pads on the mem. it sure won't hurt anything. I can't think of anything else that would cause that fan to go full tilt and sound like a jet engine. also the rpm reporting from...
Well, after more reading, I'm wondering if the fans were supposed to be running at 50c and never were until this morning.
I just don't know enough about how this GPU should be working on a Hackintosh .
I have another Samsung 500 gig drive that I use as a backup for my boot disk just in case. It has not been cloned for over a month so I put the backup Mojave SSD in told clover to boot from the backup disk. I wanted to see if the problem was still there. And YES it's doing it on the backup drive...
I have a Mojave build 10.14.2 that's been running flawlessly for a few months now except for the shutdown restart issue. I just kill the power after a shutdown before it restarts. This morning I get up and start up and after a few mins I hear a fan running full tilt for about 10 seconds and then...
ok, I started from a power off condition.
When clover boot screen came up I pressed F2 then F4 and then F2+F4 because I was unsure of wether you wanted them separate or together. here is the result after completing boot up
My clover version is 4934 if that makes a difference.
And this is the...
Here is what I'm getting . Im following the instructions and hitting F4 at the Clover boot screen.
After the F4 , I have to click on the icon of the Mojave drive to finish the boot up.
Im sure im doing something wrong.
Any one have any ideas that may fix my problem ?
Here is the thread I started for help with this issue and a description of what I have done so far.
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/new-mobo-wont-shutdown-mojave.286639/
Interesting observation. I put it to sleep via the apple menu and the display shut down, then the system went to sleep. I let it sit in that condition for a few minutes. Then I hit the return key to wake it up and I heard the post beep and it started up like it had been powered down.
Anyone have...

Still need the help though. I will go to that other thread and post a redirect to this one since it was originally
