    Stuck for days installing Ventura

Try this, this EFI was created by using ocat database for kaby_lake cpu, and added USBToolBox.kext and UTBmap.kext from ur EFI. Good Luck! Opencore 0.8.9.

    OS Ventura 13.1 freezes!

Noticed the followings; Item 8; BundlePath and ExecutablePath are added together and ExecutablePath is missing. Kexts in "RED" needs to be updated to the current OC. May be those are causing the panics because OC and Kexts are not the same versions?

    Monterey Boot failure OpenCore

Looke at your config.plist and noticed this; Lil.kext needs to be loaded first in Kernal. Also suggest using oc validate to compare your config.plist against sample one that comes with opencore, ocvalidate is located in utility folder. Additionally I try to install os x using minimum kexts...

Randomly black screen and freeze after boot from MacOS

I would suggest 1) ocvalidating your config.plist then correcting any discrepancies, 2) searching this site for "Asus Prime Z390" then comparing your EFI to others then determine what drivers and kext files you need or don't need. Reboot the system each time you make a change thus you will know...

@branik, I used your EFI file from the post #14, ocvalidated using ocat, found 52 errors, corrected them and put it on my Catalina USB, adjusted config.plist using ProperTree. I removed the SS #, board Id, etc.. I used iMac20,2 since I have i7-10700K cpu. OC is 0.8.2. It booted without any issue...

    Help "Choosing startup disk"

@raintoad; When I try to install additional OS x, I remove the one that OS x is already installed. Then install the new/different OS x on another NVME or SATA drive to make sure it installs completely and everything functions normal. In this case, I would suggest removing the NVME from the MB...

AMD R9 270x suitable for Monterey?

Try this config.plist. I changed SMBios to iMac13,2 per this guide based on the CPU. I changed the data value in "csr-active-config" to default value from what you had per this. Suggestion; please remove serial number, etc. from your config.plist when you upload. Good luck.

Black screen after boot option selected and booting started

Glad it worked. After reading here - tonymacx86 that "Lilu.kext" must be the first one in Kernel -> Add part of the config.plist to avoid the black screen during boot, so I moved it manually. Also I removed efi files from "Tools" folder to make it lighter. fyi.

@radu.truica; I am no expert however, I changed some of your setting and updated to OC0.7.8. Please remove "2" from EFI name before copying. Good luck!
