UPDATE: Got it working. And I'm banging my head that the solution was so simple.
Unplugged all external devices, USB and firewire (except for the keyboard). Double clicked the installer, after switching the Nvidia drivers off in Control Panel, then on restart select nv_disable=1 in boot flags...
OK. The above was the reason that I couldn't get rid of the nvda_drv=1. I set the Nvidia driver control panel to use the default OS Graphics drivers, didn't restart, re-ran the Sierra install program, let the hack restart and ... bingo! No more nvda_drv=1 in the Clover boot options.
So I...
EDIT: Ah - wondering if this might be a similar problem to mine...

I can't remove it. It keeps appearing back when I boot. I wonder if it's got anything to do with me patching the Graphics Card bios on boot. I'll temporarily remove the patch using Clover Config to see whether this does it.
It's not even ticked in my config.plist settings.
I understand. I was looking for a way to remove nvda_drv=1 from my boot args from the Clover Boot screen. I've tried doing it from Clover Main Screen/Options then deleting it from the line with: dart=0 nvda_drv=1, then returning to the boot screen, going to the Install boot option, clicking the...
Right. Set up a new SSDT (cheers for the link). Put SSDT.aml in place. All seems fine in terminal.
Went to go back to attempt to reinstall Sierra and got the same error as before. Interestingly though, even though I'm taking out the nvda_drv=1 bit in the install options, it's always back there...
Thanks. I don't actually have that in my Clover flags on start up - just nvda-drv=1 for the NVIDIA web drivers. I was playing with stuff and that particular combination happened to be there when I took that screen grab (I think I put nv_disable=1 in as an additional flag and didn't clear the...
Hi VoiletDragon,
Thanks for your quick reply. Apologies - that screenshot was taken while I was playing around with different combinations of NVIDIA flags. I get the same error no matter which combination with, or without nvda_drv or nv_disable i put in.
The SSDT is intriguing though. Is this...
I wonder if someone can help. I've got the following configuration:
Clover (v2.4 r4061)
MB: GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 set to UEFI mode
Graphics (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2047 MB)
And all is running nicely under El Capitan (apart from Chrome which has started crashing the Mac with kernel panics on...
Hi wonkeydonkey,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm connecting the card to the monitor via a DisplayPort cable, which should be able to carry the full 4K signal?
Strangely, HDMI and DVI outputs from the card, when plugged into the Dell monitor, both appear to feed a 1920x1080 scaled...
Hi everyone,
Not sure if I've posted this in the right bit of the forum, but here goes!
I was wondering if anyone might have had a similar experience to mine, or might know a potential fix for my issue.
I've followed the excellent guides on these forums to upgrade my graphics card from...
Cheers for the reply Aedon. That's interesting (and will prevent me from attempting a fix myself).
I wonder if it's specifically Hackintosh/GTX driver related or just a generic Mac/GTX 470 driver issue with Photoshop. If I knew it was the latter, I could escalate it to Adobe.
Hi everyone,
I've just upgraded my graphics card from GeForce 8400GS to a GeForce GTX 470 and I've got a weird anomaly happening in Photoshop CS6. I just wanted to see if anyone had a similar card in their Hackintosh and could replicate my fault.
Basically it occurs when you create a 3D layer...
I've just upgraded to a GTX 470 (from an 8400GS) on Snow Leopard and although most of the card's features work with the Official NVIDIA drivers, I'm finding a few glitches here and there.
Basically, Photoshop CS6 crashes every time I try and change the 'Depth of Field' slider in 3D mode. All the...
