Excellent thank you I was able to install the most recent driver. So to boot using the drivers always would nvda_drv=true work? When it was switched to 1 it only booted it up once. When I restarted after booting nvda_drv=1 it returned to what seemed like nv_disable=1 mode.
Thanks.
So I assume that the proper driver to download for the up to date 10.10.5 would be 10.10.5 (14F1509)? Am I correct in assuming that? The only issue is when I try to install the NVIDIA Drivers I still get the error message.
Thanks.
Hey all,
I'm trying to get my card to work like many of you, and I am trying to follow the steps on the initial thread, however I cannot find the Flat Package Editor (FPE) on the Apple Developer website. Is there an alternate download site? At this point would it be better to switch over to...
Verbose mode FTW. However I guess now that it installed part way through and restarted, my SSD that I installed Mac OS X to is not recognized by clover, so now do I use this guide to get my SSD recognized and make as the bootable SSD?
So I was able to boot to the installer, however when I selected Boot Mac OSX from OS X El Capitan, it loaded halfway through then the computer shut off to a black screen.
Woo we have progress! However it is stuck here:
So I went to my BIOS and changed the boot protocol to (UEFI: USB SanDisk) and It brought up Clover and the Boot Install El Capitan selection. Fingers crossed that this will work
I am quite sure that my BIOS is set to UEFI, however I will check it again when I get off work. I have tried other USB 2.0 ports but to no avail. All my USB 3.0 ports have been disabled.
Alright so when I select the UEFI boot protocol for the USB installer I get the message shown below:
I posted in the http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-guides/174726-guide-asrock-uefi-boot-fix.html thread to try and get some help, however it was mentioned that:
