Hey, I got the 5700 XT to work, and I see it during the booting time too. Only problem is, it is 30Hz on 4k only. There is no good resolution (or refresh rate) even if I look ti switchResX app. IS there something I'm missing? I can see that xard in "system info" asRadeon 5700 XT 8GB
I did, I can see the TB port there but it does not work. He claims it works hot plug too, but it does not for me (even though I have same motherboard and used same EFI)
Weird... Hopefully someone will try same mobo soon
I see... I have Z490 Vision D from Gigabyte. There is Thunderbolt 3. I can see that port in system information, but it does not really recognize my external TB3 dock. So for me this is last thing to make work now (very important).
@S1lla Would you happen to know how to make TB3 work?
When I connect USB-C device it is working, but if I connect thunderbolt 3 device it does not work.
I can see the Thunderbolt device under PCI devices in system information, but it won't connect to my Thunderbolt 3 docking station.
My installation is working now... I did not make second Ethernet port work but everything else seems working fine. I have vision D motherboard and i-7-10700k CPU... Will do some more tests tonight.
I have i9-9900K on z390 Designare
Razer Core X Aluminum External GPU Enclosure (eGPU): Compatible w/Windows & Mac Thunderbolt 3 Laptops - NVIDIA/AMD PCIe Support - 650W PSU
RADEON 64 GB card (stock cooler)
the USB 3.1 device is some generic M.2 enclosure from eBay, it did work OK on my z390 mATX...
Thank you. I missed that. So, yes, it works, I see my TB3 dock. It seems it works fine (external SSDs). I even see external Vega 64 I have for my MacBook Pro, but that does not work on my display as output.
I have just problem with USB 3.1 device on my red ports on back. They do work for usb...
@jontech
What motherboard you have? I can send you plist for Z120MX and Z270MX where USB 3.1 type A is working (no Type C though, just 480Mbps on that)
Hello, I have sierra installed on Gigabyte Z270Mx and everything seems to work now except the USB-c port. The Red port USB 3.1 above that port works on full USB 3.1 speed, but the "C" type does not (it shows 480Mbps and also I can test the speeds as USB 2.0 speeds only.
I ordered USB c card with...
I had to use different usb kext. Everything is working as expected. Do not have any other issue that usb-c being on usb 2.0 speed. But usb 3.1 type A is on full speed.
Audio works also with voodooHDA 2.8.9 kext. I'm not by my computer so I do not remember the usb kext name. It's something with...
All I needed to do was fakecpuid set to 0x0506e3 and also I had to switch
OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi switch from OsxAptioFixDrv2-64.efi
After that I was able to boot. Then it was working OK.
Now I'm testing same CPU on newer gigabyte motherboard Z270mx gaming 5 - so far everything works OK just USB...
I'm using BCM94360CD (You can also use CS,CS2)
Make sure the PCI-e adapter is compatible with CD/CS/CS2
@Applementalist check the @RehabMan's messages to my original question. There is the solution.
First of all, you need to upgrade bios to latest one or the some later version which supports i7-7700K,
Then it depends if you are using NVMe drive or not and what OSX you want to use (El Capitan or Sierra?)
The NVMe is probably not compatible. I should buy Samsung pro again, or I have good results with intel 600 series.
It seems that everything is working now and I do not know if that may be the reason, but by changing CPU, the USB 3.1 now works 100%.
Only think I do not like is it shows "Quad-core...
