    Ga-x58a-ud3r

Was anyone able to log in into App Store successfully? I installed 10.10 on a H77N-Wifi system and on a H55M-UD2H system, and on both I was able to retrieve my purchased apps through App Store. On my X58A system, I can't sign in successfully in App Store.

My attempt to have a working 10.10 setup on this board so far: - Onboard sound works (using the back green plug). - Onboard ethernet works. - USB 3 ports don't work. - Edit: wake from sleep now works, using keyboard, or using power button (+ keystroke). Using RealtekRTL81xx v0.0.90 driver...

    GA-H77N-Wifi - Success with Yosemite

Another relatively successful install here, with Multibeast, using H77N-wifi & i3 3225 (HD4000): - [edit: 1080i generally is fine] same crap 1080i output as with previous OS versions; - [edit: 1080i generally is fine] new crappy 720p video output (similar to 1080i); - 1080p video output ok...

Another thing worth mentioning: scheduled system wake does not work. So EyeTV won't wake up the computer for a scheduled recording, and System Preferences → Energy Saver → Schedule... → Start up or wake does not work.

Official CustoMac Mini 2012 Guide and Notes (in progress)

This is a bit off-topic since this thread is listed in the "Mountain Lion Desktop Guides" section. If someone has recommendations on where this info would be more appropriate, let me know. I just installed OS X 10.10 Yosemite on my CustoMac Mini 2012. The setup was surprisingly easy. -...

Thanks for the tip! To me the sleep is useless if I must reboot the computer after each wake. I am weary of buying another 3rd party bluetooth adapter; it seems highly probable that a future update will break compatibility with it just like what happened with the onboard one (which was...

Updated to Mavericks. Everything works as well as with 10.8.5. The only problem I'm having with both is related to bluetooth devices after sleep. I'm using the onboard bluetooth interface, an Apple BT keyboard and mouse. After a reboot, they both work fine. But if I put the computer to sleep...

Did you turn off Vt-d in the BIOS? Does the system boots ok in safe mode? What options did you pick when running Multi-beast?

Thanks for this. It seems that my issue when the computer wakes up 1-2 secs after I request sleep might be caused by the "wake on Ethernet" toggle in the power settings. I turned it off (the h77 board does not support it anyway if I remember correctly) and it seems to resolve the issue with my...

Thanks. I'll search a bit about the SMBus patch; if I simply extract my DSDT and apply Toleda's patch for HDMI audio, the HDMI audio works and the wake works correctly. The only remaining thing is that I'd say about 50% of the times the computer is supposed to go to sleep, it wakes up 1 second...

Thanks for sharing this. I gave it a try; with it I'm back with the slow wakes, just like with the DSDT from the database here. My current best bet is with the DSDT did myself, with Toleda's patches to HDMI audio. No slow wakes, but I do have some sleep problems - manual or auto sleep sometime...

I find this quite surprising since using a single-link DVI-D to HDMI adapter works perfectly.

    Troubleshooting iMessage Login Issues

Article: Troubleshooting iMessage Login Issues I have exactly the same issue. I can access my purchases in iTunes store and the Mac App store, I get no error messages when logging in to iMessages, I can even send a message with my iMessages account. The only thing that does not work is the...

I've never tried it. Any reason why you would pick MBR over GUID partition table?

I updated my setup that uses a DSDT (like post 1, except using my own DSDT). Used the combo update and had nothing else to do - hdmi audio with encoded audio output still works, manual and auto sleep still work. No apparent progress on the video (1080i is still generally displayed wrong).

Mine auto-sleeps ok at the moment. I've had intermittent wake issues that I discussed earlier here. My last attempt was to create my own DSDT; so far it is still working well. Many things can interfere with auto sleep, including software. Check with pmset -g assertions to see if you have...

I'll try to summarize from what I remember what I did, hopefully it can help: 1. Prepared the USB 2.0 drive with 10.8.2 & Unibeast. Also had MultiBeast downloaded to this USB key, along with the DSDT from the database because I wanted HDMI audio. 2. My system had only the i3-3225, 2x4GB RAM...

Two comments about your components: 1. Research on this site about your Blu-Ray drive. There is a surprising amount of optical drives that can prevent your computer from automatically going to sleep. In some cases, you need to leave a disc in the tray for sleep to work. In some cases there is...
