Sorry to bring this old thread back, but I am getting this same random NVME panic on my Z490 10900k build at boot. 3 Samsung NVME's, 2 non-pro and 1 pro, all with latest firmware. Can sometimes go weeks with no issue, then for example this past week it's happened every day at power on. When the...
Tested today on TV with DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, no display whatsoever.
Tested V2 (preferred) patch for Designare with iMac smbios on 1440p ultra wide computer monitor today, HDMI worked under this config.
Thank you again for the help, @CaseySJ!
So this is a different build, the Vega is in another computer. I do not have a spare GPU to put into this comp, need to get it working for install on the UHD 630.
Are you suggesting that getting past the install and into the OS would allow me to change...
Thanks @CaseySJ. So the TV works fine on every other build I've done both with Nvidia and AMD GPU's, and it works on the UHD 630 for bios and boot up until handoff, and works fine under Windows 10. I don't think it'd be the TV settings if it works properly under all those other scenarios, right...
Hey guys, seasoned builder here. This is my first "barebones" build aimed at being a wav capture comp for my studio, so it doesn't need a GPU. I have followed every possible step, guide, etc I can seem to find but can't get the HDMI working on the UHD 630. I understand it needs a connectors...
It was not a bug in Hackintool, it was a bug in the serial generation script which affected all app which utilized it. See the Hackintool thread I had linked above.
Yours looks good. I may change mine, I haven't decided. I have so much software on here which authorizes via machine serial, it's a lot of work and some of it requires email to deauthorize because I've gone back and forth so many times already I've exceeded the amount of times I'm allowed to do...
EveryMac identified mine as a 2017 iMacPro also, but this was on the surface. Hackintool showed deeper analysis with model iMac7,1 and validity says "unlikely". Use Hackintool to check your current serial, first post of the thread I linked you to has 2nd big red arrow pointing to it. Also in the...
Have you checked the serial's validity?
Both Hackintool and Clover Config were improperly generating serials for iMacPro at first, was showing up as iMacPro but with a manufacture date of 2007, iMac7,1: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/help-and-clarity-regarding-hackintool.282181/
I checked a video I've purchased in iTunes and it played, so I assumed. Just tried Netflix and it won't play, so not working properly.
Is it safe to generate an iMacPro Serial with Clover Configurator now?
Have not tried another Aptio with it set to Auto, going to test.
EDIT: Just tested, setting iGPU to Auto is the same as setting to disabled. Open Hackintool on your Hack, look at entry for "Intel Generation" and "VDA Decoder", you will see ??? and Decoder Failed because the iGPU is not initialized.
Multiple people here and other places, including mods, have told me Intel QuickSync and encoding is superior to AMD's. It feels stupid to disable something in favor of inferior tech, no?
Furthermore, I had discovered a bug in Hackintool and Clover Config generating invalid serials for iMacPro...
I need as close to a real Mac functionality as possible, so I need EmuVariable. I also need iGPU enabled alongside Vega. According to my research, this is not possible with any other Aptio besides the Free2000 variant.
I have read every ounce I could find since you posted that about this topic...
This board requires EMU, though...
If you check NVRAM values in Hackintool without EmuVariable, there are only 2-3 entries present versus over a dozen when using Emulated...
I had Above 4g enabled already on mine, issues remained in both OS's, albeit the solution we put forth in this thread solved the Mac OS side. Windows problems persisted.
Right on!
Turned out the "???" in Board Serial and ROM was a flaw in the native NVRAM on my board; even though the board has it, I still needed to implement EmuVariableUEFI.
