    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

For the ones here using the Fractal Design Define R6 case: Do you have issues with the front audio jack too? It works, but it sounds like using a limiter. If I increase the volume beyond a certain level (approximately 33%) the volume goes down instead of up. At least when the song is at its...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I know this article. Unfortunately I can't try the interesting parts, for example deselect ”Use your Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac” since that's the option my Mac is missing.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I only have one iCloud account and that includes all my devices (iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch and my Hack). The option does not appear in System Preferences --> Security & Privacy --> General, although under Wi-Fi in "System Information" it says "Auto Unlock: Supported".

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I'm using a slightly different build, as you can see in my signature. Everything (Handoff, continuity, etc...) works flawless. The only thing missing is the "use apple watch to unlock mac" option in the security settings. I checked the system informations and it says "Auto Unlock: Supported"...

Opinions on Z390 Aorus Pro, Intel i7 9700k, Radeon RX 580 8GB build

Depending on what you're mostly going to do with you hackintosh, you should consider an i9 instead of the 9700K, since intel has removed hyperthreading capabilities from their 9th gen i7 CPUs and therefore gives you less threads than the previous 8700K.

    Switch SMBIOS for new GPU?

So, just in case someone is ever going to read this thread: I just installed my new graphics card and it worked OOB. It's a GIGABYTE RADEON RX VEGA 64 8GB OC. Currently I'm still running Mojave with SMBIOS 12.1. Next up: new board, CPU and RAM.

    Switch SMBIOS for new GPU?

You know, that's what I wanted to do at first. But then I thought, wouldn't it be ridiculous, that after all this time we've all been criticizing Apple for not building a modular MAC I would exchange all components at once although I have such a modular machine? Therefore I want to exchange to...

    Switch SMBIOS for new GPU?

Sorry guys if I might ask a question, which has already been answered. I've tried to use the search, not only here, but also on other pages I'm a member of, but haven't been able to get as definite answer, so please be patient with me. For over 6 years now, I've been running a hack using an i7...

Any method for installing Mojave through a USB 3.0 flash drive?

I had the same problem. Ultimately I was able to use USB3, but only the onboard ports. It did not work with the ports on my hub or the one in my case (although basically they're just extended onboard ports too, but whatever).

[solved] RX 580 and Mojave... Black Screen

I was able to "solve" my problem too. First of all I discovered that I was able to get a picture by accessing my system via TeamViewer, put it to sleep and wake it up again. Since of course this is not a very good solution I tried a couple of other things. In the end I found out that I only get...

    Mojave Install - Blank Screen

Sorry, I have to ask now: do you get a black screen or are you stuck at the point which we see on your screenshot?

Trying to install High Sierra with AMD Radeon HD 7950

Problem solved (kind of): I bought a mini DP to DVI adapter today so I can connect my monitor using mini DP. Now it works!

    Black screen during clover install

A brief update for you: I got it working! It's unbelievable, but it's the port! I tried DVI and HDMI (using an adapter, since my monitor has only DVI and VGA). Today I bought a mini display port to DVI adapter to try even the last available port and it works! Now I only have to solve the sleep...

[Solved] Not able to install (not even reaching installer menue)

Hallelujah! It's done! I just wanted to give a brief update before I go to the next church to light up some candles. It finally works! How did I fix it? I'm not going to tell you, since no one was able to help me ;-) :-P Just kidding! It's unbelievable, but it's the port! I tried DVI and HDMI...

    Black screen during clover install

[solved] RX 580 and Mojave... Black Screen

Since me and some others have the same problem using AMD cards, I'd appreciate to know exactly what you've done to solve your problem. In my case I wasn't able to install Mojave while having the AMD card plugged in. I had to remove the card and set IGFX as init display first. With this...

    Black screen during clover install

OK. What you could try already is if the system works after sleep. Just wait for a couple of minutes (I don't know how long exactly) while haveiong a black screen and macOS should go to sleep automatically.

Sleep mode doesn't work (at least not very long)

Hi, when I send my system to sleep mode it immediately wakes up again. I already disabled wake on lan in BIOS and wake for network access in system/preferences. Plus, as written in some posts, I enabled ErP in BIOS, but nothing helped. What else should I try to do?
