@annatbullow i think xfx branded AMDs require some additional step as they use a custom vbios, in the graphics section of the forum, there's a pinned section for AMD compatibility, someone might help you out there.

Use the latest lilu, shiki and nvidiagraphicsfixup. In High Sierra dual GPU setup does have issues, in my system, it was stuck at infinite spinning wheel. I enabled -disablegifxfirmware in config.plist

also check if your monitor has a a dp version switch within the menu? try different and see while using a dp connection

by any chance, are they fuzzy lines? I get those when viewing any gradient image or dark bg on overlays like the volume overlay when increasing with keyboard shortcut. I had to change my output from DP to HDMI to have clear blacks.

Try benchmarking the other HDD with blackmagic design disk speed and check your read & write speeds to at least confirm if you HDD is working properly. If that drive is NTFS formatted you might need something like Paragon NTFS for mac to let the app have access for the benchmarking.

did you install the latest CUDA drivers? and is your iGPU disabled in BIOS?

What renderer are you using? Not all rendering engine support GPU render. Some fallback to CPU and if they its a GPU rendering engine, then proper web drivers and CUDA need to be installed.
