yeah imma have to make a usb ill do it on the weekend thnx man ... So what happened did it loose the clover set up or something cause it goes straight to my windows ssd

Yes. It seems that somehow, the EFI folder is messed up.

I'm trying to update from 10.12.6 to 10.13.4, clean install. I bought a 960 EVO and a Sapphire Pulse 580 8Gb. I removed the 1060 and all SSD's + HDD, installed the m2 and the 580. They are both recognised. and I'm getting without any problems to the install screen where you have to choose your language.

But, mouse and keyboard not working so I can't finish install.

What should I do? Do I have to load some kexts at install from USB? As soon install starts power from USB is gone.. Thanks in advance.

Some users need to use a new USB 15 port limit patch for macOS 10.13.4. Search for "PMHeart USB patch" and you should find many instances of it.

You can also try using the USB 3.1 gen 2 ports for your keyboard and mouse to finish installation, They should still be working.

Ok, thnx. I have to look into it. Different question.. I have a working 10.12.6 with 1060, what would be the most logical way to update? Update to 10.13.4 with 1060 installed, then remove card and drivers, install 580?

Yes, I would recommend updating to 10.13.4 first. The AMD graphics card support is much improved with 10.13.4. Previous versions of macOS require more work to get them to function properly. Therefore, upgrading to 10.13.4 first makes the most sense.

Once you are on 10.13.4, you should be able to basically swap out cards and it should work. When I made the switch from Nvidia to AMD, I also uninstalled the Nvidia web drivers and Cuda.

Thanks. That would me my backup plan. And then clone to m2. But I'm so close to do a clean High Sierra install on the m2 with 580 installed already. I don't understand this PMHeart USB patch. Is it also possible to load your SSDT USB on install?

In my opinion, using the SSDT for USB is by far the best solution. All you have to do is copy the SSDT-USB.aml file to /EFI/CLOVER/APCI/patched/. Then decide which ports you want to disable and add the uia_exclude= Custom Flag to your config.plst. It's easier than it looks/sounds. Using SSDT is probably the most resilient against breaking when updating macOS.

I did what you described but USB is still not working on install.. Is there another work around? And why is this actually happening, why is this different on my GENE? I'm on BIOS 1902, is this something that can break my USB on install? o_O

Are you sure you disabled enough ports in config.plist? Are you using the latest version of USBInjectAll.kext? Are your other kexts up to date?

Did you try using the USB 3.1 gen 2 ports as a workaround?

Why is what happening? USB issues? Because you are using what is considered a temporary fix for USB. You are not alone, lots of people are having USB issues. You can try using the latest UniBeast. It has the new USB limit fix incorporated.

Best thing to do is use SSDT for USB with USBInjectAll.kext.

You don't need to unmount. It doesn't matter.

You can boot from your USB installer to get to Clover. Then choose your main system drive at the Clover boot menu.
I deleted that USB, so I'm going to have to re create one / should I just start all over again / if so can you send me to a good starting point again ( i know you suggested one to me b4) I want to make sure I do it correct this time. thanks for all your help by the way im learning allot

The method in post #1 works fine. Just use the latest versions of UniBeast, MultiBeast, and install latest versions of kexts.
