Hi

In EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other do you have a kext for your audio? If not it's because the kext is in S/L/E i guess.
Download Kext Wizard and run it.

Look in the list of the loaded kexts and you'll find the audio one (ALCXXX.kext or something like that). Locate it with the icon. Delete it.

Rebuild the "cache" (english terme please!) with Kext Wizard.

Go to EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other (mount EFI with Clover Configurator) and move AppleALC.kext here.

Reboot

Tadaaaa
Thank you very much!!! Will try tonight.

Appreciate the help, but no go. I didn't see any other audio kexts listed, but not sure exactly what the name of the previous kext would be. I image at some point MultiBeast will get updated to handle z370 boards? The audio procedures seem beyond my skillset. Thanks again.
MultiBeast v10.2.0 works fine with Z370 motherboards and High Sierra. Did you note the audio instructions in the MultiBeast v10.2.0? See the Please Note paragraph on running MultiBeast twice due to a macOS problem that started with Sierra.

Thanks, In the initial build, Audio worked following BoomR's guide. Somewhere along the way I lost it, and not from an update, my initial installation was 10.13.4

1 - the patch works
2 - Same issue with it
3 - Sorry
I have tried in various ways but I have not found a solution so far.
What I tried:
- SSDT for USBInjectAll
- Patch on clover PTS to ZPTS - 5f505453 > 5a505453 and SSDT for XHC.PMEE=0 in _PTS (DSDT) when Arg0 == 5 (Works as Fix Shutdown)

For now to prevent "auto restart" if a USB 3 device is connected, you must select Fix Shutdown in clover and choose whether to keep the leds always on/off (again) :banghead:
If anyone knows another solution it would be very useful.

@BoomR If you still have HS 10.13.3 let us know how your build behaves when you turn it off with a connected USB 3 device.

There's no Kext in the EFI partition, and I can't find it either with Kext Wizard. I drop the kext in the EFI partition but nothing happens.

He just made an update about it. I used to have that problem, then with FixShutdown -1 worked but LEDs were still on. With his fix everything worked and the LEDs were off :)

Hi, so suddenly when i restart my 3rd screen doesnt come on, its on the HDMI output, what is weird that after a couple of restarts it did , do i need the lilu kext or something, as i dont seem to have it in my EFI folder?

You updated the BIOS, “(UPDATE) Pre-work: Update to latest UEFI/BIOS
My new motherboard UEFI/BIOS version was F6 out of the box. I checked the Gigabyte Web site & learned that there was an updated BIOS (F7h). I downloaded this & updated mobo before“. Did you download the update to a usb drive and then flash or were you able to do this in BIOS?
I always use the USB flash drive method...

BoomR:

I too have Samsung NVMe drives, and I don't know if you have noticed yet, they can run hot...

But the Mac implementation of hwmonitor does not support temps, at least from what I've found. But I did find a couple of other solutions, and if you want to know about them, let me know. One is paid and one is free. Also, I am using a couple of heatsinks that seem to help too. Let me know if you want more detail.
Yes - please share! (apologies for being AWOL from the post for a while...some family issues with my parents & I have been out of pocket).

@BoomR Did you try 10.13.4 yet? If so... 580 working correct? USB issues? Thunderbolt issues?
Thanks
No I have not tried yet - I've been out of pocket & out of town due to some family issues, and now that I'm back, I need to deal with that magical mystical event called "filing your taxes." Once that is all behind me, I will do some study on the update & then give it a try...

@BoomR If you still have HS 10.13.3 let us know how your build behaves when you turn it off with a connected USB 3 device.

I have an old Kingwin Dockmaster (1st gen) that I just pulled out of the closet & tried. I rarely use USB3 drives, as I have a SATA internal drive in this build, plus I have some TB2 drives & a RAID that I use (also TB2). Yes, still on HS 10.13.3... when I try to shut down with the dock powered on & the drive mounted, I **do** get reboot. But if I eject drive, then power off the dock, it works as normal (shuts down and mobo LEDs off).

I'd be curious to know if someone has been able to tackle the fix for this...not necessarily for me, but definitely to help out others who have this issue. TIA!
