Hi,
I know there are a lot of "clover booting is slow" posts which can be solved with "Debug=false", but that is not my problem.
When starting up my hackintosh, the time from boot logo until clover shows all boot options was really fast in the past and takes about 20 seconds now. That does not...
Just for comparison:
This is Luxmark 3.1 running on 10.14.5. with no tweaks whatsoever. Just plain macos, no settings in config.plist and no kext. Running on iMacPro SMBIOS.
Hackintosh is about 7 years old, just switched out the GFX card for Vega 56
EDIT:
I forgot to remove the manual Injection of Device Properties for Power and Fan control
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-injection-of-amd-vega-power-and-fan-control-properties.267519/
After removal from my Clover config.plist, the new behavior is:
Fan standing still until about 70...
Quoting myself: I have not solved #1.
#2 was (like most times) a human error. I put everything in the "device" section, instead of "device - Properties".
Now that is corrected and it shows in Clover Configurator just fine.
Best thing is: Everything works now. With no load, the fans are 400...
Hi everyone.
First: Thanks for this thread, the explanation helped a lot. But I still cannot get my fans under control.
I am using the MSI reference card Vega56 Air Boost OC.
I have to use WhateverGreen. Without it the systems boots fine but will shut off the display just before going to the...
Hi Pavo.
I tried the Vega56 with and without WhateverGreen. Right now it makes no (visible) difference.
What does not work with the Vega56 is fan speed. It is always at max and VERY loud while in Windows 10 I do not hear the fan at all.
[EDIT] After several reboots and moving to "iMacPro1,1"...
I was under the impression, that whateverGreen is only needed if there is no native support for the GFX.
Since there are macOS native drivers for the Vega 56, what is the value of adding whateverGreen?
Hi.
I'm running my hackintosh (10.14.2) in the listet configuration since 2012 with a Geforce 680 GTX.
Now I bought a "MSI Radeon RX Vega 56 Air Boost 8G OC" because it was on sale and because it has native macOS Support.
When changing the GFX, is there anything to configure?
Right now I use...
The issue is solved, thanks to the following hint:
I did exactly that. Unplug my GTX680, connect HDMI to the internal graphics port, activate IGP in UEFI and set it to "boot first".
Then by using the IGP, I could upgrade to High Sierra without a hitch.
Afterwards, I just reversed everything...

Hi. Can you please post your config.plist, because I have the same Mobo, a Geforce GTX680 and I cannot install High Sierra, because the installer crashes. (see https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/ga-z77x-up5-th-installation-of-10-13-3-stuck.238747/ for details).
UPDATE:
I downloaded the 13.3 installer, upgraded CLOVER to 4392 and updated to "OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi" in drivers64UEFI.
Checked again that the clover rc.scripts are not installed in /etc.
Still, the same error. I even tried the installer with the HFS+ option instead of APFS. It did not...
