El Capitan—HP Dock USB ports not working—clover boot question

Solved the doc issue. I put it in the back of my sock drawer  I'll work on it later. Meanwhile I added ss06 the XHC part of 2X70.and nothing. I tried port 5 and the hub shows up with all 4 connectors! It does not respond though. I need to add the appropriate EOH port for the Usb2. It can't...

El Capitan—HP Dock USB ports not working—clover boot question

So my ports were already injected properly? SSDT-2x70.aml is already in my patched folder, I'll look at it. Im not understanding. Does this mean I did not need to make an SSDT to inject ports?

El Capitan—HP Dock USB ports not working—clover boot question

After much chin scratching and causing inconvenience to many electrons, I have made my first SSDT (attached as .aml). I would greatly appreciate if you can take a look. Also, I made some guesses: Are Bluetooth and web cam ports classified as 255 even though they are grouped with USB2 ports? I...

El Capitan—HP Dock USB ports not working—clover boot question

I see now that much of the work is already done! This question may be irrelevant: During the installation process, should I have had the Elite Book in the Docking station? I don't know how the dock actually works. That is to say if the USB ports are extensions or their own unique port. There are...

El Capitan—HP Dock USB ports not working—clover boot question

I removed USBInjectAll.kext from /Library/Extensions. It is already in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other. Now the docking station works perfectly. Is this ok? I read elsewhere not to remove it. Also, I want the clover boot screen to pause 5 seconds on the last loaded volume. My config.plist shows a...

[solved] Post Install, i7 3520M peaking at 3.4GHZ instead of 2.9

First, thanks for this elitbook install guide. Rehab man is a rock star! I prefer this to probook installer because I have a better understanding of what's going on. Most everything is working well after a few tweaks, but I could find no reference to: Problem: After Installation, I ran...

    Upgrade bios for Elitebook 2570p?

Short question: Is it a good idea to upgrade the system bios before installing Sierra or High Sierra? Long version: I have twin (almost) hp2570p. They are identical in every way except one has a cor i5 3360 2.8ghz and the other has a core i7 3520 2.9ghz. The i5 has El Capitan running perfectly...

To upgrade or not to upgrade…hmmm

Thank You. Looks like there is a lot of changes In High Sierra. Even the file structure is changed. Guess I'll try to upgrade with a clean install.

To upgrade or not to upgrade…hmmm

I have a dual boot 2570p Elitebook with two ssds. I installed Yosemite with the ProBook Installer and upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.3. Clover version is 4.25.00. I am happy with it—it’s fully functional except for display port to HDMI. It’s my main machine. I use it every day, but wonder if I’m...

Screen goes black during boot on laptop display only

My Elitebook 2570P has worked flawlessly for 18 months. I recently changed my external monitor to an LG 4k monitor using DP/DP. It works great, although only at FullHd on the Mac drive and 4k on the Windows10 drive—that's fine with me. My System Definition is mid 2012 MacBook Pro which doesn't...

Which ethernet ID am I using–en1 or en0

How can I tell? I want en0 cause I guess the apple login and iMessage like that. My system report shows two ethernet cards, one with a en0 and the next with en1. In my system preferences, I can choose Ethernet or Ethernet2. Both work but how do I know which uses en0?
