Specs in my signature. Did a clean install of Yosemite – after running MultiBeast off the install USB with settings that worked for me in my previous install (same build), including kext-dev-mode=1 and AppleACPIPlatform Rollback for my board, can't seem to boot anymore.
Oddly enough, I got in...
Get stuck at the Apple logo with the loading bar, when rebooting from the USB and choosing my existing drive (step 7 in the guide) - the bar doesn't fill up. Even after waiting 30+min, bar is still empty. Tried some boot flags (-f, -x, npci=3000, GraphicsEnabler=No, maxmem=4096, PCIRootUID=0)...
Sorry for the blunt question, but I've been using my Hackintosh for a few months now with no problems. Recently, however, software update popped up and without thinking (since coming from using a Macbook) I hit "update". I think the system works ok, but things like sound don't. Any steps to...
As I mentioned in the edit of the original post: Gave up on trying to find a solution for Snow Leopard, so I just went ahead and upgraded to Lion, and the graphics card is working out of the box with my user DSDT installation.
Re: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 GraphicsEnabler=Yes not working
Thanks for the link! It'd odd because things like the ripple effect in Dashboard work, but DVD player doesn't. I'm going to give "EFIStudio" a go and see if that helps at all.
Re: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 GraphicsEnabler=Yes not working

Re: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 GraphicsEnabler=Yes not working
Alrighty. Well, tried the framebuffers that "worked" before, now under the iMac 12,2 identity. Unfortunately, no difference. Like I said earlier what's strange is that DVD works. So I suppose I could say graphics acceleration is on...
Re: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 GraphicsEnabler=Yes not working
Sorry, another question. Should I go about installing the iMac 12,2 identity with Multibeast, or switching it manually by editing the plist?
Re: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 GraphicsEnabler=Yes not working
Thanks for the info.
I noticed you have your machine with the iMac identity. Would changing mine (currently Mac Pro 3,1) to that help?
Re: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 GraphicsEnabler=Yes not working
I never really thought about upgrading to Lion.
Haven't tried Martinez's method, seems really complex. If I have to resort to that, I will, but if I can get it working another way, that'd be better.
Sorry for mentioning this again...
