I did the same for my R5E ws listed higher. build an nvme in my mac pro with Monterey, replaced the EFI and indeed booted up first time and also without sound. everything else is working stable. did you manage to get your sound back?

yes, you are right, they found a solution for that in the meantime by flashing the card. when I got it in 2021 it wasn't there yet. actually, looking at it now.
