Hello everybody I'm new to the forum!

I have an ASRock Extreme4 Z77 Motherboard with and Intel core i7 3770k CPU at core clock rates.
I also have a Gigabyte GTX 680 GPU.
Before, everything was working just fine. No hitches. I decided to update to 10.8.3 via the combo update instead of the Mac App Store.
After updating I can no longer boot into the desktop using my 680, I have to use the onboard Intel HD 4000.
I have tried multiple installs of Mountain lion and nothing has worked.

Can anyone help me solve this error? The 680 is a wonderful card and I hate to not be able to use it because of this error.

The error I get is:
Debugger called: </SourceCache/GraphicsDrivers/GraphicDrivers-8.10.44/Common/IONDRV/Intel/IVB/AppleIntelFramebuffer/AppleIntelController.cpp:12351 Assertion failed: (0 == i) || ((pfbInfo->rangeStolen.physbase - pfbInfoPrev->rangeSt

This error message flashes right after I select my ML drive that has the OS installed on it. I have my own DSDT.aml and everything. I just don't know what to do.
Please Help and Thanks.

try to enable iGPU but set primary display to iGPU, and set memory to 64. plug ur dvi-d to board dvi-d, see if that fix

I can boot fine using the iGPU, it's booting with the 680 that has problems.

well i have same issue and i use that method to get to main screen

I'm having this exact same issue. I set the igpu as the primary, but I plugged my monitors into my 560 ti. I can't see the BIOS or the Apple loading screen, but once it gets into the login, it appears on my monitor. It uses my 560 ti, and everything is fine, I just can't see the loading screen or BIOS unless I plug my monitor into my board. If you find anything please tell me.

Specs:
AsRock Z77 Extreme4
Intel i5-3570K
ASUS ENGTX560 TI DCII TOP/2DI/1GD5
8GB G.SKILL 1600MHz
500GB (old - like 3 or 4 years) Seagate Barracuda
CX750W PSU

This is how I fixed it on mine. It took me a lot of hours and I didn't want to reinstall.

-Set the BIOS to use the HD4000 (Integrated Video Card).
-Connect the video cable to the internal video card. In my case HDMI. (Unplug any cable from PCI video card)
-This will allow MACOS to boot with no error.
-Deleted all the device strings from the Boot.plist (I don't need HD4000 anymore)
-Restart.
-Go back to the BIOS screen.
-Unplug the HDMI from integrated video card. Plug video cable to PCI video card. (VDI or HDMI cable).
-Clear CMOS. (My motherboard has a button for this, you may need to use jumper pins)
-Next boot will show video from the PCI video card.
-Go back to BIOS and set primary video device to PCI, save and reboot.
-Macos boots fine now. The HD4000 is NOT showing under Graphics. But I dont need it anymore.

Thank you soo much for replying. Just one question, what do you mean by "Delete all strings from Boot.plist" do you mean just highlight everything between <dict> and </dict>? and just delete it?

Also after I clear the CMOS, do I set the primary graphics adapter to PCI express or PCI?

When you clear the CMOS, the computer will reboot. When it reboots you want the monitor connected to the PCI express video card, not the IGP.

After that, the video should be coming from the PCI video card. Go to the BIOS and set the default/primary video card to be PCI express. Reboot one more time.
------------------------------------------------------
If you didn't have anything under devices in your boot.plist then you don't have to worry about it. Mine was under
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>blah blahb labh </string>

One more thing. Verify the memory allocated for IGPU in BIOS is set to AUTO

When I boot I get this error: "Debugger called: </SourceCache/GraphicsDrivers/GraphicsDriver-8.10.44/Common/IONDRV/Intel/IVB/AppleIntelFramebuffer/AppleIntelController.cpp:12351 Assertion failed: (0 == i) || ((pfbInfo->rangeStolen.phyBase - pfbInfoPrev->rangeSt" (No quotes)
