May I ask where did you buy the cable?

Hi!
I've finally managed to get display and the cable, but I have some questions. It's been for more than 2 years since the first post with the instructions, so I wonder, do I still need to patch my dsdt? Or I can run ProBook installer before the replacement, then replace matrix and after successfully boot in MacOS?
Thanks

One way or another, you need the correct DSDT in place before attempting to boot with the new display.

I've removed dsdt file from /Extra folder, then updated bios, after booted into os and run PBI with options for 1080p display. Then I've powered off the notebook and changed the matrix. Everything's working fine! The display is great, but I think it'll take some time to get to used to it :)

PS. The only problem was 2 screws on the right hinge. They were attached with some sort of nut that didn't allow to unscrew it from top. So I had to remove display with these screws and aluminium plate.

Anyway, thanks for your help! :)

Success!

That bezel is a real bear! Definitely start from the inside edges and work on sides and bottom to get it somewhat loose. The inner tabs on the top are definitely the toughest but I managed to get by using a phenolic scraper from a previous iphone screen fix and then took that same scraper and worked the outer tabs loose by working and wedging (gently). I also used a small suction cup from the same kit that allowed me to keep a grip of the back of the screen housing. Take your time and don't rush. BTW totally worth it! screen looks great! Big thanks Likemike and everyone!

I purchased the new cable and the screen model : B156HW01 - V.5
I went through all the steps of installing the screen however when I turn on the laptop, all I get is the backlight of the screen, no display. wtf?

I have 4530s i5 2410M

Did you test your screen/install on Windows or Linux? Did you patch DSDT correctly for your new screen?
