Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

Yeah I only have Microsoft folder in disk1s1.

I disabled fast boot and renamed bootmgfw.efi to bootmgfw-orig.efi. Restarted and now windows is right next to Yosemite. Is there a way I can change the picture of an 8 to a 7?

You don't need to rename bootmgfw.efi when it is on a secondary drive. This was mentioned as well as the requirement for "fast boot" disabled in post #2720.

The graphic is an image in the theme.

i tried 2 methods but there no changing. i installed old kext, now i install a new macos copy but my problem is continuing

Make sure the device is powered up. Use the button on the keyboard deck.

Just read/follow post #1.
Hi there, I am border line Amateur in this game. I have a problem.
My HP 4530s laptop was somehow 'swapped' whilst I was in hospital and on discharge day I took off the keyboard.
I clearly identified a difference in the keyboard cable mounting position on the chassis to the one I am used to.
It is clear now its not my original computer.
Anyway I kept this laptop keeping the 1080HD screen configuration and noticed that using your steps I am unable to get to the Mac Install screen menus. What happens in Verbose mode one can see the Laptop has problems accessing the laptops hard drives and not identifying any of them and then it go into a continuous cycle of reading the undetectable drives.
I am open all ears for criticism and funny enough I managed to get a 4740s working so I am doing something right.
Anyhow my experience tells me the 4530s in my handling is a very bad idea.
Thanks for you time.

Post your EFI folder from the USB.

Has anyone tried a USB adapter and have it work, I bought a Asus ac/n usb adapter, and it has the osx install software, the "mac" see's the adapter in the hardware, the software is there, but the utility will not start.

Did you test the hardware on Windows or Linux first?

Did you add the interface in SysPrefs->Network? Did you press the WiFi toggle button on the keyboard deck? Be patient for changes...

It is a brand new sealed wifi card, I ordered two of them, both the same thing.

IN network settings the wi-fi interface is there, can not be turned on. When go to turn it on does nothing, the wi-fi icon is in the task bar. Wi-fi toggle button does nothing.

An additional note, bluetooth is there cna turn it on and it seems to search, can not find bluetooth device (magic mouse) which is in search mode.

Second time asking... Did you test them in Windows and Linux first?

No sense in proceeding further until you test with Windows or Linux to verify working hardware installed correctly.

Turn it on in SysPrefs->Network. Then tap the WiFi toggle button on the keyboard deck. Be patient and wait for networks to appear. If they don't appear, press the toggle button again. Be patient again...

Yes they have been tested on a windows system and they work.
