Found the id 12 patch but no IRQ fix...

Make sure you read the README such that you're using the repo and MaciASL correctly...

Make sure you change the layout-id from 12 to 28 before applying the patch...

I actually found it by opening the patch folder/system and using "system_IRQ" it did say "IRQ Fix"

Did that. Got it all installed and rebuilding cache and repairing perms.

Works no crackly base either. Going to perform my stability test aka tons of reboots. I actually prefer this to Voodoo as there is no annoying "pop" in the boot, faster boot up and I don't have to change the "input gain" value to 0 every time I wake or restart.

It is a little easier if you add it as a repo to MaciASL Sources in Preferences, but I think we've been there before.

Did that and it wasn't in the list. Either way this works and it's confirmed as being stable. I just realized that I forgot ot add "ACPIBacklight.kext" after doing the brightness patch. Is that kext just needed to keep the value of the brightness for A/C, battery and such?

Hmmm my mic doesn't work... Why is this?

ACPIBacklight.kext implements the backlight interfaces replacing AppleBacklight.kext.

It is integral to the solution. Nothing to do with AC/battery.

So should I delete the AppleBacklight.kext?

Almost certain that it's still stable with ACPIBacklight. Now I need the battery and the keyboard/touchpad combo kext from you and it'll be done. But you never saw or answered my earlier question, my mic isn't working and it's not seen in the input devices list. Why is this?
