Update went smooth initially, upon reboot my rig would freak out and kernel panic on: AppleIntelCpuManagement.

What I ended up doing was booting off one of my externals (thank god for Carbon Copy Cloner), downloading Multibeast, unpackaging it, unarchiving AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement.PKG to get the Kext file out.

Then I used Kext Wizard to install the Kext file to my original SSD. Then I repaired permissions, rebooted, and it all works! I didn't need to adjust my boot flags or even reinstall audio.

Hope this helps anyone else. I'd imaging the protocol would be the same for other Kext kernel panic issues.

I have never been able to get HDMI Audio working on my Hackintosh. Everything else seems to be working flawlessly. I do have audio from the speaker jack. I still haven't updated to 10.9.2.

My system has the following components:
Gigabyte Z77-D3SH
Core i5-3470
EVGA GT-640 Graphics Card
8GB Kingston 1600MHZ DDR3 XMP RAM
TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 WiFi Card
320GB 3.0Gbps SATA HDD

I'm not sure I want to do a fresh install. Is there a chance that if I do the upgrade that HDMI Audio will work?

For what it's worth, I just installed mavericks on a new SSD for an old system. My system is a GA Z68X-UD3H-B3 i5 build. I've only been able to boot via the usb keying in the command "UseKernelCache=No", but I updated, reinstalled my audio driver (Realtek ALC889/with DSDT), and everything works great. Still have my other problems, but the update went through just fine ;)

I just successfully update from 10.9 to 10.9.2. Everthing besides sleep, reboot and shutdown seems to be working.

Hello.

I'm getting kernel panic after update. Please help.

Look at my earlier post. I was getting this exact error. You'll need to get the AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement.kext from a multi beast install and place it in your system/library/extensions folder with something like Kext Wizard.

All good here; just had to update audio again and re-enable TRIM.

Just updated using the Update button in the App Store. No downloading combo updates or running Unibeast or Multibeast again.
10.9.1 updated to 10.9.2 in about 12 minutes.

[h=1]Z87M-D3H[/h]Not Behaving at all on 10.9.2 for me.
osx hangs and freezes after about 2/4 minutes of usage only in osx desktop
(Note boot up is smooth login fine) Can't move mouse cursor keyboard
lights don't even work after freeze

Can barely check multibeast or anything before it freezes

Should of left it with 10.9.1 as it was all working flawlessly

Unless anyone has a solution going to roll back to 10.9.1

Not really sure what to do about it? can't see any errors when I
boot -v and I cannot do anything once it freezes so I can't find info
on whats causing the issue.

Ditto. Complete freeze (clock/cursor/no HD activity) 1-15 min. I have tediously looked at console and whatever is causing the freeze is not creating a console entry. created fresh user account, still freezes. Uninstalled air parrot and unplugged by non-hd webcam as it was generatinn errors mentioned here, but neither were cause of hard system freeze. Tried with regular osX update.dmg and combo update.dmg followed by updating my setup multi beast saved prefs, permissions repair, kextcache refresh. Fought with it for 14 hours but finally giving up and rolling back to 10.9.1 for the 3rd time.

Running a Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H DSDT setup. has been a flawless server for 2 months up till now...
