Hi, I deleted the cmos ... unfortunately it did not work, the boot does not start
you will have to remove your nvidia card

read this:

I have no experience with "How to get the GTX980 to work with Opencore".
See this post.
Thanks Asural,
I had already read that post and in fact they are the same steps that I followed.
The problem is that with the older version of opencore (I think 0.7.9, I'm not at home at the moment to be able to check) the boot starts (but at the end it disables the mouse and keyboard) while with the same parameters but the new version of opencore (0.8.1), and its drivers, the boot does not start ... yet the settings in the config.plist file are the same (but updated) ...

Hi Feartech,
I think we need to take stock of the situation ... as I wrote to Asural, with the older version of opencore the boot starts so I don't think it's a video card problem ...

also the link you showed me anyway I think refers to nvidia driver problems on High Sierra but after the latter has been installed ... I still have to install it so I don't think it is the same type of problem.

Also at the link indicatgo we talk about Clover, I'm using Opencore

best to remove the card as it will cause you issues

so I don't think it's a video card problem
The point he was making is that the security certificates of the Nvidia drivers have been cancelled so your GTX 980 is not going to work. You should replace it with supported hardware as your processor does not have integrated graphics.

If you insist on using it then add the boot argument nv_disable=1 (or use safe mode).

So guys,
first of all... i already have nv_disable = 1 in my boot argument.

Then, sorry if I insist, but I don't think my problem is the video card ... maybe it will be when I manage to install high sierra and I'm in a Mac environment, but in the boot phase as I said if I don't use the latest version of opencore I can easily view everything on the screen ... I repeat that the problem is in the USB ports

buy a new motherboard

I know... there are some problems :silent:

Seriously the solution would seem close .. I am practically one step away from installation but everything stops right in front of the installation window because of the mouse and keyboard ... and I honestly do not understand what the video card centers in this case
