[GUIDE] OC 10.13.6 Z490 Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme + Core i5 10400 / i9 11900K + Nvidia GTX 1060

Hello guys, THX you for the immense work you do :)

I would like to update my hack with these MB components:
Gigabyte Z490 AORUS Master
CPU: Core i5 10400
OSX 10.14.6

Can I use EFI HighSierra?
In the various discussions it seems to me that I have understood this

Hi Gianluca81,

Yes it should work for Mojave.

Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to create high sierra with a 11600k and a GTX 1080.

Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to create high sierra with a 11600k and a GTX 1080.
Yes you should be able to using the above EFIs I had uploaded for the i9 11900K+GTX1060 combo, but it could be rather tricky to boot as the 11600K's Intel IGPU is not recognised under macOS (any version - it has to be disabled in BIOS and boot from external GPU). If the Nvidia driver doesn't boot up fully you may not get full access to the system. The reason my i9 works is I already had access to a i5-10500 to setup my High Sierra build first on the hard drive, and then I just switched the CPU and altered my EFI to boot with that.

With days of trying I think I better to ask for help in order to get further...
Mr. Middleman's post is a great news for me wanting my 1050Ti working in hackintosh with comet lake CPU, I tried Gigabyte Z490 Vision G with i5 10400 and success to install 10.13.6 without graphic card installed, but my luck ended here, my major project msi MPG Z490 Gaming Plus + i9 10900KF + 1050 Ti had failed badly, by using EFI from original post had result as below:

10.13.6 Stuck on Apple logo without bar
10.15.7 Stuck on Apple logo without bar
11.4 Installation seems processing but crash at half way then going into boot loop

Hoping ether version of Mac OS X is working but mostly wanted 10.13.6, went through the discussion of middleman between JBX the situation is similar with my (stuck apple logo, end setconsolemode..), but sadly JBX seems unable to solve the problem...

I think apple logo is further than setconsolemode, so I picked original EFI for 10.13.6 and tried ways such as:
4G Encoding to be disabled
SMBIOS modified to iMac18,3
CSM is disabled
Reset NVRAM every time booting

Would like to ask suggestion for situations above for trying, noticed that in original post Cpuid1Data of EFI for 10.13.6, 10.15.7, 11.4 are EA060900, EB060800, EB060800, 10.13.6 and 10.15.7 are different but had the same apple logo stuck problem, I am wondering if I change 11.4's Cpuid1Data to EA060900 then the installation will go further?

As I mentioned, 10.13.16 is most wanted, therefore I post the EFI which stuck at apple logo, any suggestion will be appreciate.

Okay a few things to clarify here. Your Nvidia GTX 1050Ti will NOT boot on anything other than High Sierra 10.13. That's because all support for Nvidia cards have virtually been eliminated pretty much, from Mojave 10.14 up to Monterey.

If you want to add the Nvidia card to your setup you need to first try installing without it using only the i5 10400 Intel IGPU. All you need to do is using my first EFI folder, add your UUID & board ROM serials to it and boot from that. Once it is established working, you then install the Nvidia and CUDA drivers, and then try installing using the nvda_drv_vrl=1 into your boot-arg. I already have the Intel IGPU settings set in the Device Properties section in the High Sierra EFI.

As for the CPUIDs, they are set specifically in their order because High Sierra does not have Comet Lake CPU support hence has to spoof Coffee Lake (same situation for Mojave). If you have Comet Lake, it will work from Catalina 10.15.3 onwards natively so it can be completely removed (both CPUID lines must be empty). The CPUID1Data was set to EB060800 because that was set for my i9 Rocket Lake chip upgrade which does not have native macOS support. You can try to remove that for your Comet Lake chip from Catalina EFI onwards (should work better I believe). If you are booting Monterey with the Comet Lake you could try removing IGPU device property lines ie. AAPL,ig-platform-id completely for Big Sur and Monterey EFI config for IGPU auto-detection booting.

Thank Middleman's fast response, now I understand the reason for EFI's order, I will try to add GTC 1050 Ti to Gigabyte motherboard, if success I will try to replace i5 CPU with i9 to see if it works. thanks for your big help!

I was preparing Gigabyte Z490 Vision G with i5 10400 for Nvidia Graphic Card, when finished the installation of driver I figured the bootable SSD should be able to boot from msi MPG Z490 Gaming Plus + i9 10900KF + 1050 Ti, so I switched the SSD to msi side, alas! it was still stuck at apple logo, since both CPUs are comet lake family I thought it must be something about i9 CPU..

Lucky I found the answer, in Kernal-Quairks, by changing AppleCpuPmCfgLock and AppleXcpmCfgLock to true, Apple logo and progress bar are passed without problem, I finally got my wishing 10.13.6 i9 Hackintosh with 1050Ti graphic card.

I would like to thank middleman again, without his EFI none of mine Hackintoshs will come true!
