[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

HD 7750 is still listed as "modern AMD" in Dortania's Buyers Guide; it should work. Whether it is actually better than the iGPU is another question…

If this is still a problem, try CMOS Reset followed by re-configuring BIOS parameters starting with F7 (Load Optimized Defaults). Disable CFG-Lock as well (from BIOS --> Boot).
I will try that had a busy weekend, both machines the audio works fine in Windows 10, both were working before the Monterey 0.7.4 Open Core update.. i'm sure it's something simple i overlooked since nobody seems to be having audio trouble from the onboard but me...

I searched this thread but no hits.

Is anyone using a Radeon 7750 GPU? I want to get a bargain basement GPU for my Aorus Pro build so I can use the GPU currently in it for another build.

Thanks.
I use 7750 on Monterey with no problem.

@CaseySJ -I have bought an ASUS ThunderboltEX 3-TR Card at this online retailer. Since it is a brand new card, I have to believe it is not flashed, but comes with the original Firmware.

I installed the Card in my built. And I get this, without modifying my Opencore EFI Folder:

I am new and just learning on how to get this card working, but: does that mean, that I bought a flashed TB-Controller?

I say it again, because it confuses me, but this TB-controller is new and original but still shows like a "flashed" card.

I started a thread about this, so if anyone is interested on how the story goes, look here
That is amazing! It certainly looks like a flashed card...

From earlier in this thread (from about page 3200 to the solution on page 3247), Apollo devices require enabling AppleVTD, replacing the DMAR table and adding a DMAC device if not present—plus a Thunderbolt hotplug SSDT. I think you have provided all the required information in your other thread.
No. UAD Thunderbolt devices do not require VTD to function. My build is unflashed. Hotplug works either with or without VTD. CSM is disabled, though.

Correct. Antelope Audio requires AppleVTD, but UAD Apollo works with or without it.

@CaseySJ While I don't receive the new components for the new built that I mentioned on Z690 thread, decided to install the MSI AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT on my Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme.

A strange thing is happening... I'm getting inverted colours when using DisplayPort. Also have some freezes and crashes as well once for a while (example opening images)

Colours are fine if I use HDMI (haven't tested properly to see if have freezes on HDMI).

Do you know what might be the reason of that? I've updated latest software and drivers on Windows.

Thanks

EDIT: I'm running last version of Monterey and Opencore 0.7.5

That is strange. I have been running the MSI Gaming Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming X Trio for several months now using all 4 ports. Occasionally (1 of 5 boots) I get an invalid signal error on my old HDMI monitor, but I never have any issues with DP's. No patching using OC 0.7.5. Only using agdpmod=pikera.

There were reports of Intel Power Gadget causing some problems here, although I'm running it without any problems.

I just connected my Gigabyte RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio (not 6900) via DisplayPort to Asus 27" 4K Designo monitor. Everything looks file; it uses default color profile of the monitor (Asus MX27UC). Please check if your DisplayPort cable is rated for DP 1.4 or higher. Also, HDR should be turned off.

Changing the resolution solved the inverted colours. But computer is unusable. It lags a lot. Opening a .HEIC picture sent form my iPhone freezes the computer for a few long seconds and sometimes even restarts finder. Also notices that can't open Final Cut Pro. Please see picture bellow.

I'm not sure about the cable, but I think when I bought it was suppose to be 1.4.

I'll test further on HDMI, and also will boot on windows again to see if the card has a problem.

Thanks

EDIT: Something seems to be wrong with my igpu settings...
