Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi,

yes both Serial Port and CFG-Lock disabled. Rechecked CFG-Lock using OC->SpaceBar->Cfg-lock returned 0
In the Kernel section of OpenCore Configurator you will find a field called CPU1Data. Is that field currently empty? Can you please post a screenshot.

With the recent release of the 1st public ß of Monterey, will they be another topic to discuss the issues or should we do it here? @CaseySJ of course :)
Initial trial with the existing EFI OC 0.70 (AMD Graphic card and no wifi enabled) shows that boot is so long and Monterey really unstable. I continue to investigate.
Thanks for you comments !

This guide is without peer, for your hardware, but we also have a specific Monterey support forum too now:

:)

Do you add information to both, Vision D and G manuals? I see it only in "Vision G adaptation" part, but @Higgie had USB-audio issues on Vision D, and he wrote after setting "CPU Base Clock" it works well.

It was added in both places.

To use Comet Lake CPU ID, please try this:

Cpuid1Data: E0060900 00000000 00000000 00000000
Cpuid1Mask: FFFFFFFF 00000000 00000000 00000000

Also use iMac20,1.

At the OpenCore Picker you can also press and release CMD-V to enable Verbose mode. Then select the macOS boot volume.

For Vision D and Vision G, we can certainly discuss Monterey issues here.

At this time we need to disable FakePCIID when using Monterey (thanks to @dehjomz for pointing this out). An easy way to do this:

I have the same CPU but on a 500 series board. You will not get IGPU to work trust me I have tried for a few weeks I had to get a cheap graphics card until I got a AMD RX580 which works okay I guess. Also for the cpuiddata1 you need to enter in Kernel the details in the snapshot below also use config checker under tools in OpenCore configurator to check your config.philst for any error. I don't think you actually need all those ssdt's to boot. Make sure Fast boot is disabled as well

Hi @suren6791,

Thanks for the assistance. Tried your suggested settings and got stopped. Did more research in the iGPU and realised that was the problem. Used an old Nvidia GT730 (which was the only thing I had which looked even marginally supported) and got finally got the installer started using the external display! It successfully booted but the network card was not detected sadly. Need to do more work to get that sorted and get a better GPU.

Much appreciated. More work required to get this working.
