Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Like all system platforms, it just depends on how many people use them. If enough people have it and tinker with it I’m sure we’ll have an answer somewhere.

For the rest, you could try using the Comet Lake CPUIDs starting from Catalina 10.15.7. Afaik Comet Lake EC060800 now works/is supported as is the Intel UHD 620.

If you need the CML AAPL,ig-platform-id & device-id for the framebuffer try 0000CA9B or 0000CC9B & CA9B0000 or CC9B0000 respectively. Just remember to also add in the framebuffer-patch-enabled, framebuffer-fbmem, stolenmem & unifiedmem values.

For the audio since it is Intel audio chip only we can use FakePCIID Intel HD Audio kext for the time being.

Not sure about the Thunderbolt issues, but there is a Github page dedicated to the NUC where you should be able to enable the TB hotplug.

Now, i've update my EFI, that work super stabile.
TB work fine in HOTPLUG, and eGPU now is support.
iGPU is fixed, and now the audio are support for all port HDMI/TB/DP.

Let me know for any problems.

Congrats, that's great!

With video acceleration on iGPU or no? Looks like you still have to spoof the CPU so I'm guessing no.

According to what I know (and also what he told me) it is working afaik.

I think on his github page before it said without video acceleration, if it’s actually working correctly it’s kind of a big thing. No one else has managed that so far.

I just checked his geek bench scores and they are roughly half as good as what the NUC8 does so he’s not there yet, at least in that aspect of the build. Everything else looks tight.

Graphics acceleration is supported.
the iGPU also works correctly with CPU spoof.
Spoof only makes the CPU work better.
Also I unlocked the CFG on my NUC10, so that the CPU works better

Horrible graphics performance in comparison to the coffee lake NUCs that are two generations older. Somethings off

Exactly.

I haven't scrutinised pierpaolo2395's EFI so far, but first look wouldn't find something extra we didn't know here.
Framebuffer isn't native, audio isn't native, what reason to use USBinjectALL and then to limit USB ports by USBport.kext... The only interesting stuff for me is the use of graphics patch (I don't know what it does - "AAPL,GfxYTile" for UHD630) and extra kext for TB3 (IOElectrify.kext).

By the way - I didn't say above TB3 hot plug doesn't work - it works - I meant that if you have some TB3 device attached (dock station in my case) it wouldn't be recognised after reboot - I need to re-plug it.
