I don't know what else to try other than a clean install.
That's sad  The only thing I can do is to delete MRT.app once it appears:(

Something else is going on here that we do not see ...

1) with Catalina you should not be able to delete MRT.app.

2) as MRT.app has a prohibited symbol over it, that indicates a serious problem. How can it be running with that?

Agreed, re-install.

You can try updating to Big Sur. Maybe the version of MRT in Catalina is a bit buggy...

Yeah, that's so weird about the prohibited sign....

I wish I could, but Big Sur may not be the best choice for now for my audio editing work. sad...

i am running 15.2 version of Catalina, so far it is pretty stable, idk, maybe another version is better? I gotta install a LOT of stuff if I reinstall OS......OMG:crazy:

SilentKnight may help with MRT (and other) problems.

I think the prohibit symbol on MRT is normal. It's on mine too.
