MRT RAM consumption issue - Catalina

The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards something Chrome is doing. If you look at his processes, there are A LOT of Chrome processes. It might be fighting with MTR and replacing whatever MTR is removing thereby causing an endless loop.
Good call. I removed Chrome a while back and use Firefox instead now. :thumbup:
 
Did you also remove Malwarebytes?

Check the previously listed folders to see if the files are gone.
No, I haven’t, let me check the list

Malwarebytes is removed.

From your first two screenshots, there are still remnants of Malwarebytes. Looks like /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/.

Malwarebytes plist are gone after reboot, but MRT still go crazy.

I force quit MRT from the activity monitor, and dragged the MRT.app to the desktop. Didn't see MRT on the list anymore, OS remains calm. I found something interesting on the MRT.app, the app created date is very recent.
If the app is no longer in the folder, does that mean my OS is vulnerable to malware attack?

After 8 hours of clean air, MRT came back.... FML
