[Success] GA Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 + i7-8700k + RX5700XT + OC

Hi Plexi,
Thanks for all your help here!
I had a working hackintosh until a power outage during boot recently. Since then I've had endless trouble getting a workable opencore EFI with my z370 Aorus Gaming 7. I've been through the vanilla guide 0.6.3 several times and always end up with kernel panics after selecting any drive from the OpenCore menu. The most recent kps seemed to be deeper in the boot process and NVME related (pic attached).
I just tried using your most recent upload "plexi-z370-g7-f14-efi". I replaced my EFI folder with this folder and edited the config.plist to have a unique serial, UUID, correct MAC address, etc. Unfortunately it restarts without warning about halfway through the apple logo progress bar.
Basically I'm about to throw my hands up in the air and go back to clover to see if that will work. I'm attaching my vanilla DSDT (via SSDTTime output from Windows side of this machine), EFI folder, and a photo of the kernel panic I'm stuck on. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
You had the wrong kext for the second LAN port.
Also, check your bios settings as the power cut could've corrupted it?

Please find attached, two EFI's for your system.
The first one is using custom SSDT that loads Mac OS on most systems and may be handy for having Windows in the OC menu.
The second one is using an edited version of your system DSDT.
You'll need Windows to have its own bootloader and press F12 in the bios to get to it, if you use the second one, but it will run Mac OS better.

Something weird going on with your setup!
USB handoff enabled in Bios? If not, it should be.
Do some research and search the web, etc.

I have no clue whats going on...now it did boot again (i did not change anything...) Could it be the missing USB Mapping, since I haven't done that yet...wanted to get the boot stable before messing around with the system even more...

**** i just realized i had a external dvd burner connected to the usb 3.1 port in the back...maybe this is whats causing the problem without the correct mapping... jesus, I am sorry, I must be getting on your nerves by now :D

USB mapping really depends on your computer case and what USB ports it has on the front?
Mine has two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0.
Attached is my EFI with the USB Mapped.
I've also checked the option so that NVRAM reset will show up in the picker menu.
That might need doing.

Thx! Did you map out the usb-c and 3.1 port in the back aswell? they don't show up in the USBMap script, I suppose they are on the PXSX and need renaming.

Update your bios to F14, set up your usual bios settings, and use this attached OpenCore EFI.
Let me know if it works OK?
Should be fine on Big Sur as well.

Thanks for the response! I've been buried under work related stuff the last couple of days but finally getting back here to check in. I will hopefully be able to try this later this afternoon! Thanks in advance, and will update on results.

USB 3.1 and C are separate from the USB Map on a Z370.
Take a look in About This Mac / System Report / PCI.

Z390.....Now that's another matter :ugeek:
