[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I really don't care if I have to disable IGP (I tried with that too).
Some change the SMBIOS to iMac 13,2 instead of 6,1 Mac mini and then the AMD cards work. Give that a try. You can simply change it at the Clover Boot menu to test it.

Thanks for replying and apologies if this is dumb question but

"Some change the SMBIOS to iMac 13,2 instead of 6,1 Mac mini and then the AMD cards work. Give that a try. You can simply change it at the Clover Boot menu to test it. "

Is that JUST changing Product Name field to "iMac13,2" but not changing anything else? I tried "iMac13,2" and "iMac13,2_" so it matched the style of previous entries.

I just tried both and still KPs. The first "iMac13,2" looks identical to my previous pic. The second goes a few lines further adding "apfs_load_inode_internal" entries...

I can't be the first person to use a GPU... should I disable HD4000 in BIOS?

With my Dell Optiplex 9020 w/RX 570 I could only boot with legacy support disabled. Not sure if it's the same for the HP 6300 MT. It doesn't seem to be a problem with Nvidia cards. Maybe some other AMD gfx card owners with the 6300/8300 could offer some advice.

Yeah I disabled Legacy support... so AFAIK I am following the guide totally except for having an RX570 installed. I'm stumped!

Please refer to here.

Thank you...

Editting Config.plist is proving troublesome as I couldn't boot into MacOS (-x didnt help) and use CloverConfigurator which is easy.

I can mount my EFI on a Windows machine and edit with ProperTree isn't as easy as using Clover Configurator. Notepad++ is easier to use but not sure exactly what to put where. Sorry, I have been Googling the format and looking for other people's plists to see how it should look but no joy.

Did your post you linked to mean to delete the WhateverGreen kext or delete some text in the plist file?
Can I assume your meant "Inject Intel = true"?

My plist is attached if its something trivial and you'd be so kind as to do the edit? Pretty please!

No, WhateverGreen.kext is required.

I attach the modified config.plist, SMBIOS is iMac13.2, and UUID is set appropriately.

I'm going to sleep, do your best.

Thank you!!!! Was a PITA to get it on the install (had to mount two EFI partitions to copy from USB to HDD!) but it boots now.

And now I managed to bugger it all up trying to get HEVC acceleration re-enabled. So I have to reinstall again. But I at least have a USB stick that will boot and re-install :)

see #1
Code:
make sure to checkmark SMCHelper and skip adding VirtualSmc.efi into EFI/Clover/Drivers/UEFI
