[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hello @circasurvive8,

Let's address the two points:
  1. Bluetooth
    • Is the USB Cable connected between the Fenvi and the motherboard?
    • If you download and run IORegistryExplorer, then scroll the device tree on left side (do not use the "search" bar) until you get to XHC, do you see some Bluetooth devices under either HS11 or HS12? You may post a screenshot for us to examine.
    • Also post a screenshot of System Information --> Bluetooth.
    • Have you attempted to Reset the Bluetooth Module? Instructions are located here.
  2. UAD Apollo 8p
    • Is the Apollo running the latest firmware?
    • Are the latest UAD drivers for macOS installed?
    • Please post screenshot of System Information --> PCI where you believe the device is appearing in the wrong place.
    • Does the Apollo work?

So first off, THANK YOU SO MUCH, my Apollo is now indeed working correctly! I simply deleted the software and installed updated versions of everything, and of course it all worked!

Now, for my Bluetooth....
Ironically, indeed the USB cable was not plugged in. That being said, after plugging it in, it is still not working unfortunately. Attached are picture of my IORegistryExplorer and a screenshot of System INformation --> Bluetooth.
I have not attempted to Reset the Bluetooth module, as the Bluetooth icon is not even showing up in my System Settings, nor is the icon available in the top right toolbar next to the wifi.

Thank you again for your help!

Bluetooth should show up under HS11 or HS12. Because both of them are empty it means there's still a connection problem.
  • Is the Bluetooth data cable plugged into both the PCIe card and to the internal USB header labeled F_USB?
  • Are there any splitters or other devices connected to F_USB?
  • Does the Bluetooth data cable look okay? No damage or frayed wires?
  • Is the cable connected properly on both ends? Each side of the cable inserts in only one orientation and it may need to be squeezed in all the way.

** Native NVRAM in Clover **

After completion, do we need to reinstall Native-NVRAM version of Clover?
And will native NVRAM disappear on a BIOS update or short-reset?

There's only one version of Clover!
And will native NVRAM disappear on a BIOS update or short-reset?
  • A BIOS update will re-lock MSR 0xE2 and hence native NVRAM will no work until the register is manually unlocked.
  • CMOS Reset, however, may or may not re-lock MSR 0xE2. I haven't tested it myself so I cannot say for sure.

I'll try to break it later and let you know. F9b over here...

No, I don’t get the same error.
When you boot from the USB install disk and choose the option to “Boot macOS from MacintoshHD” do you get the same error?
Hey, Casey,! I got the same error when I did F12 and booted to clover menu from the install disk - what’s the best way to proceed?

This is 100% normal. Fans won't spin up until GPU temp exceeds 50-60C.

You only need to run Kext Utility if you have put your kext files L/E. If they are only in your EFI then there is no need to run it. If you are running Mojave they should be in L/E, if Catalina then in your EFI.
