I had success with the same hardware and since the author of the post didn't upload the EFI folder, I'm uploading mine (with the required boot flags)

The only change I made before uploading was to generate new serial numbers to avoid duplications.
Thank you bro nice efi better than mine, could you share tutorial with us to keep it up to date ?

I only have one problem my mouse cursor is not smoth and precise as i wish. the cursor jumps for about 50 - 100 pixels around the screen or some times its get faster or slower.

My monitor is 4k/60hz at dp port
Logitech mouse G700s and mx master
now trying with a microsoft mouse but all have the same problem i also tried different usb ports but no luck. any suggestions?

Hello
I managed to do the USB installation on the hard disk.
I restarted the apple appears but when it appears the catalina system becomes all black.
I repeat my system is Asus z390-e gaming with cpu i9 9900k without video card.
I have tried everything but the screen always appears black that if the hardisk works perfectly it is as if it did not transmit anything to the video output.
I ask you how to give thanks

I did as you said but the result is always the same black screen

I don't use a graphics card I only have the intel i9 9900k processor and asus z390-e gaming card

Better than ever ! Super stable, no freeze at all...everything's working good.

I will take a look at your EFI more in details later, but you should definitely update Lilu and Whatevergreen to the latest.
So I went AWOL for a week all in search for a solution to the issue I had with RX5700XT freezes and I am here to report things worked out for me. One thing to take note is that a number of users with RX5700xt reported similar issues as investigated here and funny that the issue is not only restricted to hackintoshers but to windows as well, albeit windows users complained about crashes during gaming and sometimes just browsing. I experienced that first hand with Windows. Anyway, here is what I did to fix it:

Since I needed a perfect working system I figured it would not hurt to do a clean install, so created a bootable macOS Catalina USB using terminal, used the EFI shared here by @pompey (kudos mate) and changed/added the following:

  • changed serial number
  • added FSInject, HFSPlus (replaced VBoxHfs), NVMExpressDxe, VirtualSMC and XhciDxe to the UEFI folder
  • Added the following kexts to the OTHER folder: USBInjectAll, HirbernationFixup, XHCI-unsupported.
  • Removed all Broadcom kexts as I do not use a broadcom card at the moment (ordered one though)
  • Removed USB port limits for Mojave, not that it would hurt leaving them there, but just wanted a lean configuration.
  • very important aspect not to forget is to use the updated versions of Lilu and WEG as suggested here by @Dafiduk. But could boot with WEG removed though, using HDMI cable, Display port output a black screen. Other users reported success booting without WEG with both HDMI and Display port. I tried and couldn't work for me.
At first tried installing Catalina 10.15.1 (hooked up to the Display port) but the screen resolution was way off, like I needed two or three monitors to fit the screen resolution. So thinking it could be something to do with 10.15.1, I downloaded 10.15.2 and with the same EFI configuration all went on smoothly. All the weird sounds and freezes are gone but just noticed my mouse is not as fast as it should and my monitor does not wake up from sleep. Not sure what could cause that.

Attached is my EFI for those with the same setup like mine.

*One thing I didn't mention is the wallpaper flickers in a minimized window at every login and its very annoying otherwise everything works okay after log in.

Hey thanks for the efi everything works fine except mouse feels sluggish and makes giant jumps. had this problem before with my own efi. Still looking for a solution. (enable igpu helped a little)

Glad it worked for you. I too have issues with a sluggish mouse and screen flicker only at login.
