Asus X299 - Catalina Support

I switched from iMacPro to MacPro7,1 definition, but i'm not able to get the Model on everymac.com with the Model Lookup button in Clover Configurator. So it seems is not a valid Serial Number.

I tried about 50 times with no success.

Does someone know why? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice about reinstalling - perhaps when there's some benefit to switching SMBIOSes, I will.

Be careful with Clover Configurator

I'm team OpenCore, so I edit everything by hand. Catalina seems to have introduced some interesting situations where things don't save to the EFI partition (I've seen Xcode do it a bunch now).

I understand that you want to see if there are improvements with MacPro 7.1 SMBIOS: for the moment I keep two NVme SSDs with macOS Catalina: one with iMacPro 1.1 SMBIOS and the second with MacPro 7.1 SMBIOS for tests.
OpenCore seems complex and not intuitive enough for my use so for now I stay with Clover or Clover + OcQuirks.

Hi All, hoping for someone to help or shed light on the subject. I am running 10.5.1 Catalina with no problems other than the CPU/GPU sensors are not working fully istat menus is showing my WX7100 GPU as an SSD ..... o_O weird and no info for my Radeon VII at all. Also my 7980XE 18 Core CPU is showing in the sensors as 9 cores only!

The biggest issue is my ethernet drivers are not working I just want the 1G ports to work, they worked on High Sierra 10.13.6. I have the specs below. Can anyone help on these issues? I tried the SmallTreeIntel8259x.kext and the IntelMausiEthernet.kext with no luck.

Thank you so much!

May be one of your SSDT files is wrong (within the EFI ➧ Clover ➧ ACPI ➧ patched folder) ?

What would you do? Remove all of them? How would I find out which ones are right?

you can read up on hotpatching here:

also you can use this in terminal (when you have copied iasl from the link above)
Code:
iasl -da -dl *.aml

To make sure your patchmatic output disassembles without error

Try to remove first SSDT-X299-ANS.aml (NVMe SSDT's) and reboot
