pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

EFI looks fine, but you should disable/delete two more USB fixes.

I don't see anything that would prevent Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from working. I can only surmise that the adaptor or the BCM94360CS2 is defective.

I'm thinking that you're right and one of the two pieces are broken. I'll try some new hardware.

The only thing that is really confusing me is the fact that it showed up in Windows, and not in OSX. That said, it didn't work very well in Windows so maybe the part is finicky and only somewhat working.

Thank you so much for all your help. It's really great to have someone to troubleshoot with.

The new Supplemental Update installed fine. System restarted twice and it took ~8 minutes. I updated using OpenCore but Clover shouldn't be any problem either.

Hey pastrychef,

I updated almost incidentally, rebooted and not on 10.14.6. It is working except for
1. waking up after sleep (it wakes but with dark displays and no network connectivity), and
2. energy settings for the displays don't turn them off at all and also do not start screensaver; they remain turned on all the time regardless of those settings

Both of these was working before the update. Do you have any idea where should I start checking?

Thanks very much!

How is your monitor connected? HDMI? DisplayPort?

Please post your EFI.

I have four 4K DELL U2718Q, all of them connected with via display port cables to two Vega64 cards. The whole setup was working very nice prior the update. Sleep, wakeup, sleep, wakeup... no issues. I am using the Apple Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2, both via Boutooth to the Apple m2 blutooth card that you recommend.

Anyone interested in the 9900KS? Does it seem likes gonna be worth it or will it be better to just grab a 9900K? I'm still rocking the 8700K at the moment.

I've also been looking at the Radeon VII since it seems to be a pretty good card for content creation, but it seems like the 5700 XT is about to be supported in OSX 10.15.1. Wondering if I should wait...

Please try with this version of WhateverGreen.

As far as I know, the i9-9900KS is just a binned i9-9900K like how the i7-8086 was a binned i7-8700K.

Official 5700/5700 XT support should arrive with macOS 10.15.1. I don't know how it compares with the Radeon VII for content creation... I think the 5700/5700 XT are geared more towards gamers...

Checking the newer version of WhateverGreen.kext, replacing the old one.

Hello,
I had a good round of bad luck this time. FYI I am using Mojave.
1) I used the latest EFI folder with Clover and I couldn't have my mouse and keyboard working neither with APFS encryption nor with FileVault.
2) I then tried with Open Core and mouse and keyboard were working but the temperatures that were detected were not correct. It was like 85 degrees instead of 29 or 30 like I saw in the bios last time I checked. Also after copying clover from the usb stick to the efi partition on my internal hard drive I cannot get anymore in my motherboard BIOS. ^^
I will try resetting the motherboard BIOS when I have time.

I'd like to know what's wrong about Clover when encryption is active since the Apio fix and the keyboard fix are already in the EFI folder you provided.
Eventually in case I have actually no luck with Clover, I'd like to know if anything can be done with Open Core for the temperatures issue and if the problem with the motherboard repeats I'd like to know what I can do to avoid it (besides not using open core :) ).

Thank you in advance for your help.

P.S. the hardware specs are in my profile.

I will attach here the two efi folders I have used.

Did you do the proper USB 15 port limit fix?

What is showing 85 degrees? Are you sure it was in Celsius and not Fahrenheit?

Try disconnecting your drives and see if you can get in to BIOS.
