pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I just tried the latest OpenCore on my install USB and everything seems to be working now. One question about OpenCore, do I have to select which drive to boot off of each time I boot up (I have quite a few drives attached and it shows me a list to choose from)?

I suspect that you were not booting from the correct EFI partition. Triple check this. You USB should be working correctly with the Clover EFI.

On OpenCore, you can go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select which drive you want to be the default startup drive. But, remember, OpenCore is still beta....

Either of those should work.

Why not replace the stock Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card with a macOS compatible one? It's the cleanest solution and Bluetooth works better.

So I got the PCI-e and installed the BCM94360CS2 card. When I launch OSX, it detects the Bluetooth but it won't work properly. It just shows the Bluetooth symbol with the squiggle line through it. It's also not detecting the WiFi.

I have Windows install on my machine, and both of these things work there; just not in OSX.

Any ideas?

Wi-Fi should be plug-n-play. There's nothing to configure.

Bluetooth requires that USB is configured correctly.

Do you see the Bluetooth in System Information > USB?

Do you see the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in Hackintool > Info > Misc?

I see the Bluetooth in System Information > USB.

I haven't used Hackintool before. I'll have to check that out.

In System Information, is the Bluetooth showing as "BRCM20702"?

Just used the Hackintool and officially setup all of the USB ports. What a great app.

Here's my update;

I don't see the Bluetooth in System Information > USB
and
I don't see the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in Hackintool > Info > Misc.

For wifi, I used to have a TP-Link N900 plugged into a PCI-E port on my last hack machine and that worked plug and play just fine. After I purchase the ROG Strix Z370, I haven't gotten anything to work properly in that PCI-E port. I figured that the TP-Link just wasn't supported anymore but now I'm thinking that I'm somehow disabling the PCI-E port.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Yes, Hackintool is awesome. IMO, it's really the easiest way to configure USB.

When you were configuring USB, did you remember to leave the USB port with Bluetooth connected enabled?

That's weird... There's nothing in the EFI that would prevent the PCI-e slots from working.

Are you using the x1 or x8 slot?
Have you tried messing around with BIOS settings such as CSM or PCI-e 1/2/3?
In Hackintool > PCI section, do you see the Wi-Fi?

Please post your EFI folder.

I had the same problem.
PCIe Adapter with same Apple Broadcom Card.
Bluetooth was working, Wifi not

I send the PCIe adapter back because I thought it won't work.

I'm not sure how to tell which USB port has bluetooth. I did plug in the cable that goes from the card to the motherboard.

For the card, I'm using a x1 slot.

I haven't tried messing with the BIOS yet. I'll check that out.

This is what I see in Hackintool.

EFI folder is also attached.

EFI looks fine, but you should disable/delete two more USB fixes.

I don't see anything that would prevent Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from working. I can only surmise that the adaptor or the BCM94360CS2 is defective.
