Update, the 5big still does not work, even with the driver loaded and connected through the dock. Ill tinker with it some more.

Use Disk Utility to check if it can see the 5big enclosure. If it can, run Disk First Aid on the unmounted drive and let us know the results.

For the first time ever I have two external drives that will not mount on Mac (any Mac) but will mount on Windows with Paragon HFS+ (they're formatted for Mac).

It appears that the boot sector files may be corrupt - DiskUtil list shows them as Microsoft Basic Data format
I'm waiting for backups before I try to repair the boot sector

LOL!! We don't have to censor the word Catalina!

And yes we should definitely be able to update directly from Software Update. That is what I did with the Catalina Public Beta. However, there is no guarantee until we actually try it. I am (just a little) concerned that Apple may implement some new security restriction or security fix that may interfere with Clover or some of our unsigned third-party kexts.
