Yep, I went with a Fractal Design R5. Don't care about aesthetics, though it's not an ugly case.

AMD all the way for my next card. osx86 project used to be fun but these NVidia drivers take all the fun out!
I'm still on 10.12.6 because of this mess. First time since 10.4 that I don't even want to upgrade OSX.
And even then these security updates still break our Nvidia drivers.
Why people still recommend Nvidia these days is beyond me.

I use a MSI RX480. It's silent when I'm using Logic/Cubase/Pro Tools. No problem recording acoustic guitar 6 foot from my Hack(Fractal Design case, Noctua cooler and fans, silent PSU)

MSI “gaming series” has a better heat sink and fan system, they are very quiet.

I did some research. As Gigamaxx states, this is a very quiet card/series.

I can recommend u to go with Nvidia straight! the only thing u need are web drivers, all this cards was installed on HS 10.13.6 and no problem with none

You cannot upgrade to Mojave why should I buy a card like that?
