@jaymonkey were you ever able to fix the pen coordinates when rotating? I'm using a Thinkpad X230 and have pen input working normally when in a normal orientation, but it becomes inaccurate once the screen is rotated

@Claythegreat,

Unfortunately not, I reported the issue to the developers who acknowledged the problem, it's my understanding that there are mechanisms in the code to support rotated screens but at that time i think it was only working with a select few machines that the code support automatic rotation via built-in sensors rather than manually rotating the screen (which is what i have to do ) and more work would be needed to be done.

I installed Display Rotation Menu by Mage Software which is a very handy little menu app which allows you to easily rotate the screen, if automatic rotation is not supported on your laptop.

I have not tried the last few versions but i assume you have and have found that the accuracy drifts quickly once rotated ?

I think at the time I reported the problem the guys where busy implementing the new gesture engine and all their attention was on that (it still has some issues that need sorting such as the three finger scroll problem reported above) .... it might be worth posting on the VoodooIC2 thread and see if there is any news and/or maybe give the guys a gentle reminder ...

Cheers
Jay

Hi, I'm on a 13.3" Spectre X360 (13-AE011DX, 2017 Coffee Lake) and every time I try to load VoodooI2C.kext and VoodooI2CHID.kext, the computer crashes, doesn't matter if its in Clover or /L/E/

I went to Device manager in Windows and the only difference I see is that mine is listed as ELAN2514... either way, these kexts shouldn't be causing the machine to crash, right?
Going but this guide, is changing "ELAN22CA" to "ELAN2514" in the DSDT file the only thing I should have to do?

Is VoodooI2C not compatible with coffee lake?

I've gotten this to work now, but only touch, no pen support. How is this possible? Shouldn't both work if one works?

Hi, I got touchscreen working same way as described but no pen support as well. How can I determine the issue for this?

Did you end up fixing your pen suuport?

Guys any update on the 3 finger scroll issue? I have a synaptic ps2 touchpad which as you guys know is not very good with the gestures so I mainly want voodooi2c for the touchscreen pinch to zoom capabilities.

However, it seems to require 3 fingers for scroll + zoom while the usual 3 finger gestures now need 4 fingers. Any idea about this?
