pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I'm using the AppleALC kext method. See MyHero II MultiBeast setup in the build description. See Post #318 if you've already installed High Sierra or Mojave.

I think it is enough ...I think it's a big difference ... I still wanted ioreg from you ... do you use any ssdt for audio? ... look and give an opinion ... although on the asus page there is no difference between the two motherboards on the audio side ... they use the same chip 1220...

I just changed the motherboard ... nothing else ... and only problems here ... I want the sound to work ... I lost and wifi + bt ... the adapter m.2 is no longer compatible with sochet from the motherboard ... I can not go back ... my motherboard hero X I already sold it

Here you go but I don't know how this can help with your audio. Your motherboard uses ALC1220 while this motherboard uses ALCS1220A.

Look at the AppleALC supported codecs page:

Or you could sell the 1080 and buy a Sapphire RX560 and put some money (a lot of $) back in your pocket and run Mojave to boot.
I'm giving Nvidia until the end of the year. If no drivers by then, I'll do as you suggest. Gene is now my secondary hackintosh.

I'm willing to bet that there will be no Nvidia web drivers available for Mojave in 2018. I completely lost faith in their ability to produce quality drivers when the same bug persisted from 10.13.0-10.13.3 and their lack of communications regarding said bug. This Mojave fiasco only deteriorated that faith further.

Even if/when they do put out Mojave drivers, do we have any faith something like this won't happen again?

Good point. The good news is that I have a spare GTX 770 which is supported natively in macOS. So, I have an "inhouse" pathway if I want to upgrade to Mojave from High Sierra.

Woohoo! Sold my old i7-8700K.
