This sucks. Ive been waiting to update. How long until these drivers are released. Apple wouldn't have the same market presence without the hackintoshers. Sure it may not mean direct revenue, but indirect they are reaping profits from us. Im disappointed in the desktop line of Macs. There laptops are great, but Im more of a desktop guy. Hopefully they will be released soon

You seem to confused "choose not to do" with "fail to do".

Another point is that there is no “back and forth” since Apple hasn’t made an official statement. The back and forth is among the user community, and Nvidia statements.

It’s too bad, having Nvidia support in Mojave would be great especially with the RTX cards.

Please don't grossly overestimate things.

Real MacBooks shipped around 16 million in 2017 alone, that's not counting the desktop Macs.

Hacktintosh's is like a drop in the bucket, and it's directly lowering Apple's Mac revenue at the same time (although very small).

And I really believe that's the reason why we can still Hacktintosh today, because we're rather insignificant either way compared to all things that Apple is doing.

It’s not that simple. For example my first Mac OS comp was Hackintosh. Today I own iPhones, iPad Pro, Mac mini etc. Thanx to this Hackintosh I have bought several Apple’s products. I’m certain that without this first Hackintosh I haven’t come consumer of Apple’s products. Also I have bought several apps from Apple’s App Store for Hackintosh and iOS. What I like about Hackintosh is the freedom of building my own comp.

So that’s not that simple at all. We don’t lower Apple’s revenue, we increase it!

And thanks to Hackintosh, and may others who did it, instead of buying a real Mac, you directly lowered Apple’s Mac revenue by not buying one. It's not really that hard of a concept.

A lot of people who build Hackintosh aren't poor at all, buying fancy PC parts, and they could totally afford a real Mac if they want to. And I can equally argue you, and many other, would have bought those "iPhones, iPad Pro, Mac mini etc" even w/o the Hackintosh.

If you want to justify why you build a Mac go ahead, but don't make it sound like it's only beneficial to Apple with no downside, because it's not. It certainly goes both ways. And please don't forget not to overestimate things, we're a just a drop in the Apple bucket.

I gave up waiting for Nvidia/Apple to finish with the marriage counselor:banghead: and decided to install a XFX R9 270 that i had laying around. Just had to spoof the device ID(in clover) to 0x68101002 and typed RADEON in the Framebuffer field. Happy to say all is well :)

Another update I just bought a Gigabyte RX570. Boots in Sierra(external harddrive) and Mojave just fine ....... WTH are u all waiting for, forget Nvidia and Apples little war.....I have a Intel Pentium G4560 16gb ram with a RX570 humming along (dual monitors)..... sure it cost me 149.99(RX570) but worth every pennny..... my nvidia750ti is now in the wrap that the RX570 came in.:headbang:

Not buying doesn't meaning lowering revenue :D I already have given you real life example how I have increased Apple's revenue actually. Without building a hack I haven't ever bought any Apple's product. So make a simple math. Apple is for sure a winner here.

Building Hack doesn't equal automatically that Apple loses revenue. Because otherwise person is not going to buy any of Apple's product at all!

Me too. On your case yes. In general, no.

Not all of them not buying either.

In fact I already have iPhone etc when I built my hack where I could have just bought a Mac Mini and call it a day. That's potential revenue Apple lost right there.
