I have a custom built computer where I want to install hackintosh High Sierra.

I used Unibeast to create the bootable USB, I boot my computer get into the bootable USB, see the apple logo and the loader then I get a circle with a slash. (I tried this USB in a laptop and it worked)

  • motherboard: gigabyte Z170-Gaming 7 16gb of DDR

  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 970

  • Intel Core i5-6600k @ 3.5ghz 1 SSD: 500gb (I have windows here)

  • 1 SSD: 120gb (for hackintosh)
When I created my Unibeast USB it had clover UEFI, a folder for post installation and the High Sierra installer.
I don't have any port that is USB 2.0 all are 3.0

BIOS INFO:

You should read and comply with the rules, in particular the one regarding profiles.
Link to profile

Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.

This problem called "Prohibited Sign" (search term) error has been answered numerous times in this Forum. Please find the solution to the issue discussed here:#2
May require USBInjectAll.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.
May require XHCI-300-series-injector.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.
May need PMHeart’s patch to remove XHCI USB Port Limit to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist.

How can I install those files?

When I open my flash drive I have the installer and a folder that says EFI backups, but is empty
This is all I have left to do ...

I have done everything they talk about in that questions. I don't have any usb2 ports tho :/

nvm I figured out how to add those files using clove configurator. Now, my issues is that the installation doesn't recognize any of my 2 possible SSD where I can install High Sierra. I already tried this: SATA Mode selection to AHCI in my bios

I suppose your issue is in Disk Utility screen where your USB Installer has finally reached and looking for a System Disk to Partition and Format and your target SSD is missing.

If that is the problem , the solution :
on menu bar of that screen, click "View" to get a drop down and create : [√]Show all Devices [See image of DU Menubar]

Yep! that was the issue sir!! I got my hackintosh up and running. Now, I have 2 more questions. ( I can create a separate post if needed)

1) I have a graphics card GeForce GTX 970 with 4 monitors and it only detects one. When I go to NVIDIA Driver Manger it has the option Default macOS graphics Driver selected and if I selected on the option Nvidia web driver it tells me to restart, I restart and it goes back to Default macOS graphics Driver
2) When I turn on my computer I have to press f12 to boot from the bootable flashdrive I created and select my hackintosh. It doesn't detect hackintosh by itself

1) I have 2 flashdrives for wifi and it doesn't detect the them, but it detects any other flashdrive I connect. One is a netgear A700 and the other one a Tenda.

  • I will take the last question first because that is the most important one as you have to easily get into your system disk to troubleshoot any other issues.
  • Since you can access your system if only you use the Installer flash disk, it means, its EFI has all that is needed to get you to the login screen to enter the Desktop of your new system
  • All we got to do is to replace whatever EFI Folder the System Disk's EFI Partition has with the one from the USB installer.
  • So, boot as you are doing now using the macOS HS USB installer to reach the CBM screen and switch to your System Disk and boot to Login and then Desktop.
  • Make sure to go to Finder>Preferences>[√] All boxes . You want your Disk icons placed on the RIGHT side of Desktop screen for easy navigation
  • Once on Desktop, launch CloverConfiguratorGlobal downloaded to it if not already done so Clover Configurator (Global Edition)
  • From the Left Panel of CCG "Mount EFI" and wait for EFI partitions to be displayed at the bottom half of the RIGHT Panel
  • You should see both your USB installer and the System Disk EFI Partitions [See images for help]
  • Now click Mount Partition on the Right side of right panel against each of the required disks (USB first and then HDD)
  • From the Mounted Partitions corresponding to the color of each disk icon (White =USB Dark=HDD) open and find the EFI Folders
  • Copy the Folder from USB Installer disk and paste inside the EFI Partition of the System Disk by sending To Trash if it has anything inside . Basically you copied and pasted a Good EFI from USB to the HDD.
  • Now see if you can boot and reach without USB installer.

One more thing: Make sure you have made your macOS High Sierra UEFI System Disk as First and Only Disk in Boot Option Priorities of BIOS after you have installed a GOOD EFI inside the System Disk.
