@kgp I have been absent for a while, but I will possibly attempt a fresh install with that many great changes and achievements.

One question, before I start, so I can plan for proper hardware at hand: When patching the SSDT.AML, are we now in a position to disable a PCI slot for OSX, namely can we disable a NVIDIA card in say PCI Slot 2, so OSX works exclusively with an AMD card, which would be installed in slot 1?

Thanks for sharing your opinion!

TSCAdjustReset.kext gives always desync message. I can paste a pic/video of this message as proof. And another friend of mine with same mobo and conf can confirm that it doesn't work.

Have the Designare and it’s been rock solid here. Latest bios. No errors.

How to disable a Nvidia GPU with method _INI within a SSDT is not a recent finding but has been exhaustively explained by @RehabMan in respective posts all over the years. Thus I also refer now to his posts in terms of your request.

Good luck,

It's OK for me too with Gigabyte X299 UD4 TSCAdjustReset.kext and latest bios F6e ;)

No error with TSCAdjustReset.kext? If so then my designare ex, my friend's designare ex too are ****ed...or maybe as
Rulebreaker01 wrote i'm confused!!! But i see you have a different CPU...so maybe there is something different? Or i am still "confused"?
But it's just like when you wrote about working sleep with your Designare Ex..............

We are talking about different mainboard (even with same brand), different conf and different cpu..

The Thunderbolt card works. Unfortunately (still) no hot plug.
I don't know if you tried ssdt mentioned in this post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/in-progress-ssdt-for-thunderbolt-3-hotplug.248784/
With Designare Ex X299 i've onboard thunderbolt so i tried ssdt v1 and v3 of that thread. I use 2 thunderbolt peripherals..a wd raid disk tb2 with Apple tb2 to tb3 adaptor and UA Arrow tb3 audio interface. They are both connected at boot so with ssdtv1 only 1 of them is seen and with fully hot plug (same if connected after osx boot). With ssdtv3 both are seen but hot plug doesn't work. If i try only 1 of the peripherals connected hot plug doesn't work.
So with my mb thunderbolt hot plug works only with both peripherals connected.

Did you even realize that we have our own TB hotplug SSDTs discussed along this thread? Do you follow this thread at all or do you just comment from time to time?

Seems that, as Rulebreaker01 states, you and your friend do have a general misunderstanding of function and reason for TSCAdjustReset.kext. If it is really true that with the Designare EX one would not need any fix of desynchronised CPU TSCs, TSCAdjustReset.kext would just do nothing but definitely would not prevent the system from boot.

Else please try to behave and maintain your language and expressions within a presentable format.

Thanks in advance,

KGP
