I will check files when i go home, is the trackpad ok now that you customized the settings ?

Yup :)

If you can, please briefly post what you changed/modified from the SSDT for trackpad settings...could be useful to others down the road (including myself). :D

Well I'm not sure how crazy my settings are since I made some drastic changes and am not 100% sure exactly what each setting does. But here are the values I changed in SSDT-KBD.dsl:

Code:
"BogusDeltaThreshX", 100, // original 800 - time between resampling? Lower number = faster sample rate?
"BogusDeltaThreshY", 100, // original 800 - time between resampling? Lower number = faster sample rate?
"ScrollResolution", 400, // original 800 - changes precision/accuracy scroll? Lower number = faster scroll but less precise
"MouseMultiplierX", 5, // original 2
"MouseMultiplierY", 5, // original 2
"MouseScrollMultiplierX", 100, // original 2
"MouseScrollMultiplierY", 100, // original 2

Thanks for the update!

Hey, the programmer and the clip arrived. I installed the drivers for the programmer.

I got into the laptop, removed ram and ssd, unplugged both batteries (cmos as well) and clipped the bios chip that was located near the ram (Winbond). I made sure to align the red wire of the clip with the dot on the chip, as well as the on the programmer itself. So I think I got alignment right. However, when I fire up the programmer software and try to detect (or read) from the chip, it won't detect the chip at all. It just says that it failed to detect the chip. I tried with v1.29 and 1.30 of the software. Sometimes I noticed that if I clip the chip first, then plug the programmer into the PC, I'll hear the device connected Windows sound, but after like half a minute, I hear the device disconnected sound. I really don't know what's the issue. Do I have a faulty clip or what? Its brand new and I waited a whole month for it to arrive :(

Try reinstalling the drivers. Install them with the programmer connected. Also try with an older version of the CH341 Programmer. I think v1.26 worked for me. I can send you an archive of all the software I used, because v1.26 is really hard to find.

I'll be using this guide on my T440s in the near future so thanks in advance but I got the BCM94352Z Wireless card and wanted to use it in the meantime. I just wanted to check and see if you guys know if I'll be losing out on anything significant by using the v2.36 bios whitelist vs getting the latest bios modded. I scanned through the patch notes for the versions in between and didn't see anything too crucial but just wanted to double check.

edit: In all my infinite wisdom when installing the card, I realized there's 2 versions of the BCM94352Z and I was lucky enough to buy the incorrect version so here's a diagram for any future buyers who happen to see this before they make the purchase.

I did the same thing and got the Lenovo card. Some finesse with a mini hacksaw to create the extra notch and nibbling a little on the end of the receiving tab on the motherboard socket and it fits. There is risk though so not recommended unless you accept that; if you do it take it slow.

I'm having another issue though that I've seen mentioned in other places but have not seen a resolution - or at least one that works for me. This card is recognized and drivers installed for both Win 10 and Ubuntu, but although Bluetooth works fine, Wifi sees no networks. However, everything works perfectly in High Sierra. Anyone else??

Same thing with my machine. I could never find a working driver in Windows 10 for this card.

Okay, I just had a huuuge breakthrough. You don't need the test clip or the programmer, nothing of that. @Sniki

Previously I was on version 2.49 of BIOS, so my only way to get to 2.36 (the version without the whitelist) was to flash it with a programmer or flash a modded version of the newest one, right? WRONG

You can actually downgrade from a newer version to 2.36 through software means only with no issues whatsoever. That's what I did. Download the 2.36 BIOS https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/gjuj23us.exe and run the install to extract the installation files.

Then, when you run the update utility, it won't let you update saying "BIOS image file does not match this system." That's just ******** on Lenovo's part. They just want you to not update to a "less secure" version of BIOS like their changelog states ""If the UEFI BIOS has been updated to version 2.36 or higher, it is no longer able to roll back to the version before 2.36 for security improvement."

To ACTUALLY downgrade to 2.36, I went to the directory where the flash utility was extracted, in my case: D:\DRIVERS\FLASH\gjuj23us\

Then, open a CMD and write this, in my case: D:\DRIVERS\FLASH\gjuj23us\WinFlash64.exe /sd /file D:\DRIVERS\FLASH\gjuj23us\GJET86WW\$01DF000.FL1

The WinFlash64.exe file needs a bios file as an argument which we do with the /sd /file options and it will initiate the flashing process effortlessly.

Now I just need to get my hands on a WiFi card :clap::clap::clap:

Awesome find! This is great for anyone else who tries to install macOS on this machine. Make sure to reply back if that BIOS works for you.

Can u show me your card after cutting a notch? I have found an BCM94352Z without notch for about 15$ with shipping but I dont want to mess it, BCM94352Z with notch costs
about 50$ with shipping so its a huge difference.
