So, Inject ATI in Clover, without any FBName set, makes the correct injection.

May be the guide needs updating since 10.13.4 update ?
If I just set ATI Inject = YES and do NOT provide FBName, the default frame buffer chosen by Clover is Baldini -- wrong injection for my card.

17.1, just realised that without Lilu I have black screen after boot (I forgot to delete it from kext/others), so maybe not so oob Working fine, but as I mentioned, i'm testing it from 2 days (I had NVIDIA GTX 950 before)

I have the same Gigabyte GPU. Try using iMac14,2 and see how things go. I don't get any black screen problems (with or without Lilu and Whatevergreen).

To get DP/HDMI audio without whatevergreen, you could try Clover: APCI->DSDT-Fixes->AddHDMI=Yes

I tried this, with no other audio setup, and it did not work for me. Plenty of good information in this thread though so I am confident I can get things working with some testing.

If you want DP audio, the easiest way is to use WhateverGreen.

I think it's just in the FakeSMC_GPUSensors.kext that enables HWMonitor to get GPU temperature.
