Good to know. I will try it when I get home. I use Firefox because Chrome is more susceptible to the lag. How do you know Metal is enabled?

Check the Graphics/Displays entry in System Info (And no, I'm running an Acer 4k monitor, not a 6K monitor. Not sure what's up with THAT entry)...

As far as I know, the 200 and 300 series both use 8086:a2af for USB. That's what I've been using for a few months on my Z370 and haven't had any issues.

Hmmm. My USB 3.0 bus has the same IDs as yours so I'm okay there but my MB has a USB 3.1 connector on it and it apparently has different IDs. Hoping that's normal as it IS functioning fine - as far as I can tell.

Yes, that's normal. As far as I know, all the motherboards us ASMedia chipsets for USB 3.1 gen 2.

I think the 6K resolution is because you are using HiDPI scaling.

How do I apply this patch?

Well, the quickest way is to go back to page 50 and check out post #495 (For some reason, I'm seeing two posts with the same number. If you do, too, then look at the second post #495).

Hello fellow Hackintoshers;

I recently did a fresh install 10.13.4 and came up with a couple issues.

Took a bit to find the solutions, but they worked.

I got an issue doing an install where the install image wasn't showing up in Clover.

I don't think this is specific to UniBeast, but this fixed my problem:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...t-shown-in-clover-missing-iabootfiles.248994/

Then, for some odd reason, after pressing the continue button, it would lock up for a while and then report
"The recovery server could not be contacted"

This fixed it for me:

Do you mean this? Entered via Clover Configurator or vla the cli? Because you get different results depending on which you use, unless of course you enter the correct values in the first place....

This isn't correct, is it? (from Post 495):

Easiest is using Clover Configurator.
  • Open your config.plist in clover configurator.
  • In left hand pane select Kernel and Kext Patches.
  • Now in big white box, bottom right click on +
A new line will be created.
  1. Under Name* - com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI
  2. Under Find*[HEX] - g32UDw+DlwQAAA== ???????
  3. Under Replace*[HEX] - g32UD5CQkJCQkA== ???????
  4. Under Comment - USB 10.13.4+ by PMHeart (or anything useful that will remind you what this patch is all about)
  5. Under MatchOS - 10.13.x
  6. Don't write anything else. Save your config.plist

Just installed the Combo Update, and it said "Appyling Software Update" as before. Now, when I reboot, I'm still in 10.13.2. What am I doing wrong?

I'd greatly appreciate if you can push these changes to CoreDisplayFixup and any other you have done to your github for the Q534UX Laptop model. Thanks.

@kumarak Happy to help. The configuration in the repo has not changed. Just download the latest version of CoreDisplayFixup (1.3.6) from here:

https://github.com/PMheart/CoreDisplayFixup/releases

Copy it into /Library/Extensions via the terminal. Rebuild kextcache. Reboot. You should be good to go.

Your system drive or "Boot OS X Install..." may have been chosen. Follow tonymacx86's guide:

"6. At Clover boot screen, choose Boot macOS Install option (Example: Boot macOS Install from Macintosh HD). Choosing your system drive will go back to your previous installation without updating.

7. Complete the installation process- the computer will automatically reboot a few times.

8. At Clover boot screen, choose Boot macOS option (Example: Boot macOS from Macintosh HD). The computer will then complete the update."

You'll know it's updating because it will restart several times. Make sure Boot macOS Install is chosen until it disappears in the Clover boot screen.

I just completed my build about 2-3 weeks ago. Using an Asus ROG Strix RX 580. GPU seemed to work natively on a fresh 10.13.3 install without lilu or whatevergreen, etc. System set to 18,3

On upgrade to 10.13.4, sounds stopped working which was an easy enough fix -- just redid the MultiBeast process for my ALC1220A... But, the weird thing was that the display ports stopped outputting video, i.e. the black screen. DVI worked fine with no flickering. After reading through almost this entire post, the 1st thing I tried (that worked) was to check "Inject ATI" in the graphics section of Clover Configurator. After doing that, display ports working again.

Question is though, should that be needed or is it the best fix? As opposed to using WhateverGreen? I don't even know what that kext even does since I didn't use it on my original build.

Appreciate any feedback on Inject ATI vs using WhateverGreen. I'm still a noob, but getting it all figured out.

Also, I have "Inject Intel" checked, but I have IGPU for multi-monitor disabled in the BIOS as I'm only running 1 monitor. SO not sure I need that checked either?

Thanks!
