For me instalation is not complete....

How i do I get around this bug when i connect an external monitor ? "The display lid turn black when the external monitor is connected – happens with different id-platform".

here is a new update: I did a bit of testing, if I connect a type-c adapter with hdmi, the external monitor works regularly. If I connect hdmi to the PC port, the notebook screen goes black. Help me.

I don't have a lot of detailed photos at the moment, I would have to open the laptop up again!

This is what the adapter looked like once I had cut it down:

This is the wire routing. Note that I had to adjust the wire routing slightly from what is shown here, because the wires were getting pinched around the USB C connectors and the cover wouldn't go back on. I don't have a photo of the final wire routing, but I will make an illustration of that when I get a chance.

Great work Owens just a few questions.

Can you link to all the parts you used?

Can you explain how you cut part of the m2 adaptor to fit the laptop?

hello
maybe someone can help me figure out some things :

1. it seems like the os can't go to sleep , even If I press the sleep option in the apple menu as I see that the power led is not blinking - is there a fix for that ?
2. if I close down the lid - will the pc will go to sleep as I think it won't - I just did it for 3 hours and the pc feels hot like it wasn't - what can be the problem?

The high Sierra OS installed on the main Samsung drive.

thanks

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Sorry for that - So I think I have all the things so I can ask the questions - hope it's ok.
So again this is the problems is have for now :
1. Bluetooth is not working Aldo I see the icon in the upper bar and also I see there in the list my AirPods but I can't connect them when I press connect .

2. I have the Edimax dongle that I got after reading the first post and I know it provide wifi but I see not a bluetooth and I can't have so much dongle connected to my pc.

3. Sleep is not working and also when I close the lid it seems that the screen is off but the pc is not in sleep mode.

4. I have an Anker ethernet usb c dongle and it seems that after sleep (if it's working...) it can't connect back and I need to unplug it and replug it back to have my internet back

5. Trackpad is not working well Aldo I can use it but it feels odd to use , I have a Logitech mouse but again I need extra dongle and I finish with lot's of dongle connected to this pc.

6.Continuity - can it work? I don't see the handoff option in system preference

thanks

Your kextcache output proves kexts are not installed correctly.
All kexts you need must be installed to the system volume.
Read post #2 of the Clover guide for details:

Hey All, exciting news on the WiFi topic. There was no way I was going to consider trying to replace the soldered Intel WiFi. However, I have managed to successfully fit a Broadcom BCM94352 using an m.2 socket adapter (E Key to M Key) in the spare m.2 M key slot, with antenna extender cables running back to the original antennas.

Incredibly it actually works! I now have internal WiFi running! System report shows up as legitimate AirPort hardware. Speed test is showing the full bandwidth that my home fibre connection can deliver!

It was extremely fiddly work connecting and routing the extender cables, it was very tight for routing space. Also the E to M key adapter was too big to begin with so I had to literally cut the adapter down to make it physically fit.

Ultimately it was worth it, as my Xiaomi Hackbook Pro now has internal WiFi. If anyone has any questions about by method, I am happy to share my experiences in more detail.

Happy Hackbooking Everyone!

Congrats. You made an excellent job. Loosing a drive port won't be a big deal since you have a great WiFi with that speed.
This was the last issue that I was "trying to solve" before buying the hackbook.
I have to delay to buy this machine for a while. In my country we have random weird import tax. It fluctuate between 0% to 120% or more... That's random. We bought on Chinese store... It ships to our country in 10 days... After 2-3 months we are notified about the taxes and have to wait more 7-12 business days after tax payment to get it on hand. That's a pain.

For now I'll wait for a reseller around that have a "buy now".

Hello.
Thank you all for the excellent work.
I installed the hackintosh without any problems.

However, I have a few questions.
1. The percentage of the battery does not change in the menu bar (charging or discharging the battery). Is it just me? Tell me, if anyone knows how to fix it.
2. The trackpad works mostly works fine, but when imitating the right key it works extremely badly. Rather does not even work, what works badly :)
And a periodic bug. The trackpad starts counting one extra touch.

sorry for my english. I'm using a translator

p.s. if someone wants to buy the second slot ADATA SSD XPG XS6000/7000/8000, I do not advise. Strongly heated. At me works on 58-60 degrees, thus that the maximum admissible temperature of 70 degrees.
TP-Link TL-WN823N work fine with drivers on tp-link site.
