[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Status

Hi,

I installed 10.11.13 with APFS and my battery status disapeard. I can check the box in energy savings (System preferences) and it appears but des not update the information in the bar (percentage and unpluging the AC still updates the information in system preferences). After reboot it disapperas again. Once I rebuild the caches it works after reboot until i shutdown again. Battery information in activity monitor are also updated.
I allready disabled TRIM support and set the firstpolldelay via bootflag to 16000 - didn't change anything. I posted two error files - one before rebuilding cache and one after rebuilding with working battery status bar. With Sierra it worked like a charme. Any ideas?

Regards.

The config.plist you attached has no abm_firstpolldelay setting.
But that is just a work around anyway for SSD incompatibility with APFS.

You should install on HFS+J instead of APFS.

Big problems when using clover uefi hotpatch.
Before i have installed all sierra version and all works fine and no any promlems.
Now i tried install sierra but it boot only if i chance profil from MacbookPro 9,2 to 11,1.
Only version that works is HS 10.13.0, it boot but it is very slow.
Before release of HS 10.13.2 all was fine but not anymore.

Use the tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

It is because no kexts will be injected when you're booting your system partition because FakeSMC.kext is installed and InjectKexts="Detect".
And your ACPI lacks the needed injections for SATA.
In particular, SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext is not injected, and it is not installed either... and you don't have the SATA injections (SSDT-SATA.dsl related code) that are assumed by install_downloads.sh.

Solution: You can force injection of kexts via Clover (from spacebar menu), which will then cause SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext to be injected, or you could install SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext to your system volume.
In my circumstance, I use `HP-ProBook-4x30s-DSDT-Patch' repo to do a post installation, after that, I use usb installer to booting system partation, then failed.
Also tried `boot with injected kexts', still failed.

I already explained why your scenario is failing and made suggestions for how to fix it.

Also tried `boot with injected kexts', still failed.

Check your EFI/Clover/kexts/Other content. Seems likely you forgot SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext.
And check your Clover bootlog to determine if the kexts are being injected.

Keep in mind I gave you *two* suggestions for fixing your issue. It seems you only tried the first suggestion.

No.
1600x900 and 1920x1080 are both considered "hires" (both use dual link cable).

Oh, thanks for the point.

Congrats for your job on this repo.

I noticed in the guide that HDMI is supported except for Kaby Lake. (I have a Probook 470 G4 w/ Kaby)

I didn't read through all posts in this thread, but has there been a fix for HDMI support for Probook + Kaby, at least for video? Screen changes resolution / flickers when plugging into TV, but nothing loads / connects. Looks like other laptops (ASUS) have HDMI support with similar processor...

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Here is the files from 9470m.

The ioreg you attached does not correlate with the attached EFI/Clover.
It appears the ioreg was collected after booting from USB.
