No Sound - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

The motherboard, and likely the front panel, have 3 pin connectors; no mic connection, no audio input. Find a headset adapter with 3.5mm 4 Pin to 2x3 Pin 3.5mm.

Crazy. I've never had this issue before with any PC or Mac laptops I've used. Do motherboards typically not support 4 pin connectors, or is it just that mine is too old?

Motherboards support 3 pin only, green and pink.

I'm having the no sound.

Using cheap headphones (no built-in mic etc).

Used Multibeast to install 100/200 series support and install RealtekALC.kext. Had no audio devices so restored pure AppleHDA kext. Then ran audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3 to patch. I did install FakePCIID.kext.

Using Green port on back selected Internal Speakers as output.

• FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext

Hello,

I have strange problem with sound (Realtek ALC892) on High Sierra 10.13.1
Used audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3.command to install audio.

And randomly have working sound but after shutdown or reboot sound is distorted.
And again after few reboots/shutdowns all is OK with sound.

This is very irritating
Please help to resolve this

Yes. Dual boot with Windows 10.

No bootlog this time DPCIManager reports :
Install a bootloader (Chimera, Clover, Chameleon) to enable boot-log.

And now again distorted sound....

What to do ? Is there any solution for this madness ?

All clear now, thank you very much for clarification and support.
I will try to remove Realtek drivers from Windows 10 and try with default W10 drivers.
